Family of the Groom
Joseph is incredibly grateful for the love and support of his family, beginning with his parents, Rob and Dawn Lemley, whose guidance, sacrifice, and unwavering encouragement helped shape the man he is today. Their example of commitment, integrity, and faith laid the foundation for Joseph’s values and the life he is building. Joseph is also blessed with two wonderful sisters, Brooke and Jessica. Each of them has played a meaningful role in his life—offering laughter, honesty, support, and lifelong friendship. Their encouragement and willingness to step in wherever needed made this celebration possible. This weekend would not have been possible without the time, effort, and love poured into it by every member of the Lemley family. Most importantly, Joseph is deeply thankful not only for their contributions to this wedding, but for their lasting influence in shaping his character, heart, and readiness for marriage.

Groom
Joseph is a man shaped by family, friendships, faith, and the experiences that have led him to this moment. Born in WV, Joe was the youngest in his family—and, depending on who you ask, possibly the favorite. A few years later, the Lemley family packed up and headed north, starting a new chapter in IL The next 25+ years were spent between IL and IN, where Joe learned to navigate faith, school, family, friendships, and the early steps of his career. Those years built the foundation of who he is today: hard-working, God-fearing, loyal, and always willing to show up for the people he loves. After nearly 30 years up north, the Lemley family made the difficult decision to move south. While the move offered new opportunities, it also meant leaving cherished loved ones behind. For Joe, the most difficult aspect was the distance it put between him and his friends. His closest friendships span more than two decades, built through shared laughter, growth, and countless life lessons. Though distance separates them physically, those bonds remain a permanent part of his life Luckily for Joe his next chapter brought love—the kind that feels like home. Finding Trisha added new meaning to Joe’s journey, filled with partnership, faith, and a shared vision for the future. Now, Joe and Trisha are beginning their next chapter—building a home together, and how sweet that home will be Wherever the wind blows, wherever this life goes Baby, all I know, ain't nothin' like, nothin' like Home sweet
Bride
Trisha Willits was born in CT (yes, technically that makes her a Yankee), but her family didn’t waste much time moving back to Texas, where she was raised like a true Texan. From an early age, Trisha found inspiration in the relationship between her grandparents, Nana and Papa. Their bond and their unwavering love for each other was something Trisha admired deeply. She always knew that, one day, she wanted to find a partner who would treat her the way her grandfather treated her grandmother—with love, respect, and kindness. A few years a go, the Willits family decided to give North Carolina a chance and see if it could feel like home. It didn’t take long for Trisha to fall in love with Eastern North Carolina. But when the rest of her family eventually decided to return to Texas, Trisha made the tough decision to stay behind. She would often say, staying in NC was the best thing she ever did, because soon after, a bearded construction man stumbled into her life. Though she was the first to admit she loved him—by no fault of her own, of course—it wasn’t until a debilitating migraine hit and Joe, ever the caretaker, nursed her back to reality. That was when it hit her: she loved him. She couldn’t hold it back anymore. No more truer words fit how Trish’s feels about Joe are than this: "Your love is like a porch swing on Sunday Just as gentle as a summer sunrise They say it's where the heart is Well, mine's with you babe Long as I got your hand, I'm fine"
Best Man
Jacob and Joe met when the Lemley family began attending a new church in the early 2000s. Growing up with two older sisters, Joe quickly found something new in Jacob—a built-in brother. From the start, their connection felt natural and lasting, moving well beyond a typical friendship. Over the years, they shared just about everything: a locker in high school, cramped tents at summer camp, and countless memorable moments that quietly shaped their bond. They became fixtures in each other’s lives, learning early what it meant to show up consistently and stand shoulder to shoulder. Between the stories of mischief, questionable decisions, and nonstop laughter, it’s still up for debate who influenced who more. What’s never been in question is the loyalty underneath it all. Jacob has been a constant presence through every season of life—the brother Joe didn’t grow up with, but gained for life.
Matron of Honor
Kelly came into Trisha’s life at a time when she needed a kindred spirit the most. On a challenging workday, Kelly walked in looking for financial advice, but it didn’t take long for them to form a genuine connection. What started as a professional interaction quickly turned into something more—a deep friendship. Kelly’s persistence and unwavering determination made it impossible for Trisha to maintain the usual boundary between work and personal life. She was like a wrecking ball—no “no” was ever acceptable! And in hindsight, Trisha was grateful for that. Kelly’s kindness, support, and ability to bring out the best in people made her an irreplaceable part of Trisha’s world. Over time, Kelly became the friend who always showed up, offering unconditional love and steadfast support. That’s why she’s earned the title of “Matron of Honor.” Trisha is excited for the many more years of friendship they’ll share.
Groomsman
Joe and Seth formed their connection in high school, where it quickly became clear that Seth was someone different. Thoughtful, steady, and quietly wise, Seth didn’t need to say much to leave an impression. When he did speak, it mattered—and when he listened, it meant even more. Seth is the kind of person who brings calm into any situation. He shows up without needing recognition, offers perspective without judgment, and supports the people around him in ways that truly count. Joe has always been able to rely on Seth for honesty, encouragement, and grounding advice. Over time, their friendship naturally settled into something deeper. Seth became family—not through grand gestures, but through consistency and trust. Having Seth standing beside Joe today is a reflection of years of shared growth, respect, and a bond built to last.
Best Woman
Susie entered Trisha’s life through Joe, and it didn’t take long for them to become fast friends. Joe had a hunch they’d click, and as always, he was right. The moment Trisha met Susie, it was like a spark—a connection so strong it felt like lightning had struck. Susie’s incredible ability to read people, combined with her sharp sense of humor, made them instant companions. They shared a bond that was hard to describe but easy to feel. When Trisha needed a “partner in crime,” Susie was the first person she called. Whether they were pulling off shenanigans or just venting about life, Susie was there, and it didn’t hurt that they both had the same mischievous streak. Joe’s favorite line is that Susie is “fired” when they get into trouble, but everyone knows it’s just part of their playful dynamic. Susie might be the one to spill the beans from time to time, but Trisha knows Joe doesn’t mind—it’s all part of the trust and honesty between them. For all of this and more, Susie is the perfect choice as "Best Woman". Trisha is looking forward to the years of fun, laughter, and adventures that still lie ahead.
Groomsman
Faraz and Joe’s friendship traces back to high school, where it was forged through competition, teamwork, and a shared love of gaming. From Monopoly showdowns to perfectly coordinated Onion soup orders in Overcooked, they quickly learned how to work together, laugh hard, and turn small moments into great memories. That spirit carried into real life as well. Through wins, losses, and plenty of trash talk, Faraz and Joe built a friendship centered on cooperation, loyalty, and having each other’s backs—no matter the situation. Somewhere between late-night games, ridiculous strategies, and endless laughs, Faraz stopped being “just a friend” and became family. He’s the person Joe can count on for both serious advice and not-so-serious victories. Standing beside Joe today feels only natural—this friendship leveled up to brotherhood a long time ago.

Ring Bearer
Before you ask, yes, we are going to be those cliché dog mom and dad, and yes, our dogs will absolutely be in the wedding! Beau has always been Trisha’s first true, unconditional love. Her heart instantly melted for a little brownish-gray Pomeranian with a wily coyote-explosion-like face. Unfortunately, early in Beau life he was rejected by his first owner for being too loud and in need of more attention, but Trisha was there to scoop him right up and give him all the love he deserved. Since then, Trisha and Beau have been through a lot together—multiple moves from Texas to North Carolina, countless adventures, and countless cuddles. Through it all, Beau has been by her side, protecting her and proudly holding the title of “alpha male” of their pack. That is, until one big, burly man stepped into Trisha’s life. Beau immediately sensed his days as the reigning alpha were numbered. But It wasn’t long before Beau started to get labeled a “traitor,” running to Joe more than Trisha. Beau is definitely going to be a bit nervous about being the center of attention on the big day, but we know he’ll rise to the occasion. After all, his main responsibility will be protecting the rings—and if anyone can handle that, it’s our little ring Bear.
Flower Girl
Where to start with Charlie? If you ask Trisha, Charlie was Joe’s first true love. From the very beginning, she’s been his baby. A rambunctious ball of fur, Charlie doesn’t know how to control her tail, and somehow manages to shed everywhere, all the time. But, despite her wild energy, there’s no denying the love and joy she brings. Charlie was born on an Amish farm in Indiana, but her life truly began when she was "kidnapped" by her favorite person, Joseph. The two of them set off on a 15-hour journey back to Plymouth, NC, and while Charlie was terrified for most of the trip. Charlie became Joe’s shadow. She’s grown not just in size but in heart, becoming a constant source of joy not just for Joe, but for Trisha as well. In fact, Trisha knows just how much Joe loves her because he talks to Charlie with the same tone and voice he uses for Trisha— that soft, affectionate way that lets you know just how deep that bond runs. Now, after some top-notch training, Charlie’s gearing up to show off as the flower girl— and we all know she’s going to be absolutely adorable!
Officiant
Over the past few years, as Trisha and Joe navigated life in the outskirts of Eastern North Carolina—away from much of their immediate family—they came to appreciate how important it is to have trusted people nearby. During that season, Michael and Bethany naturally stepped into that role, offering steady guidance, encouragement, and perspective drawn from years of shared life and marriage. Their presence provided reassurance during moments of uncertainty and wisdom during times of growth. Through countless shared meals and meaningful conversations, it became clear that Michael has a remarkable gift for storytelling. His stories are thoughtful, often humorous, and always rooted in experience, offering insight in a way that feels genuine and relatable. Paired with Bethany’s calm presence and quiet strength, their influence helped Trisha and Joe navigate decisions with clarity and confidence. They didn’t just offer advice—they created space for reflection, learning, and growth. Over time, Michael and Bethany became more than trusted mentors; they became family. They modeled what a strong, lasting partnership looks like—built on patience, understanding, and mutual respect. It is only fitting that Michael now stands as the officiant of Trisha and Joe’s wedding, guiding them into this next chapter with the same care, wisdom, and thoughtfulness he has shown them throughout their journey.
