Our Story

Trusting in God's Timing

I would always listen to couple's stories and think, "That is so creative and unique; how could my story ever be that amazing?" And yet God is so creative that each story is so unique! Our story is a perfect example of how we are not in control, but God is the One who writes our stories and invites us to participate. It is a story full of humor, joy, adventure, and surprises, and we are so excited to begin the adventure of marriage together on April 15th! Randi connected with the Bianco family way back in Philadelphia, about 6 years ago, when she was in Bible study with Emily, Joe's sister-in-law. It just so happened that Mike (Joe's brother) and Emily moved out to Denver a month after Randi did, in the fall of 2016. They all became friends and the more Mike and Emily got to know Randi, the more they thought she would be a great fit for their brother Joe. However, Randi dated somebody else that year. That spring, Randi and Joe met for the first time at Lourdes (the Church they're getting married at! See photo below)...but alas, Randi was taken. Joe thought Randi was pretty, but there was nothing to do about it at the moment. A year later, it's the summer of 2018. Randi is single again, and Joe has moved to Denver. Joe decides that one of the first things he'll do is to ask Randi out on a date. They go on two dates, and while they both thought the other was great, it just wasn't the right timing. Meanwhile, all these years, Randi is babysitting Joe's nieces and nephews and running into his sisters as well. She just couldn't get away from the Biancos! Finally, in the spring of 2021, both Randi and Joe separately ask St. Joseph for his intercession for their vocation. Then, some things started happening. Randi wanted to join a soccer team and heard Joe needed girls on his team. This put them back in contact. And on Divine Mercy Sunday, they reconnected. And this time, Joe had a moped :) He gave her a ride, and sparks started flying. Okay, okay, more things had changed since 2018. Both had matured, and it was the right timing this time. Joe asked Randi out, they went out 4 times in one week, and the rest is history! We are so grateful for how the Lord has guided us back to each other. We are so excited to enter into the Sacrament of Marriage and begin a life together of serving the Lord and His Kingdom. To all who long for their vocation, be patient and trust, for the Lord has beautiful plans for those who love Him!
