Zach Adkisson

Best Man

Zach is a dear friend to both Megan and myself. He became a part of our lives through his relationship with Emily Keaton and has since become one of our closest friends. Fun fact, he and Emily were actually with us in Charleston when we got engaged! The four of us have really enjoyed spending time together traveling and getting to know one another these past few years. I feel very fortunate to have become great friends with Zach and I'm so glad to have him as my best man. He is the type of guy that can make anybody feel welcome, and he is always there for his friends. One thing I appreciate about Zach is that he will always shoot you straight. Also, luckily for me (and maybe not so lucky for Zach), I now have a free financial advisor whenever I need! All kidding aside, his friendship has meant so much to both Megan and me, and we are very excited and honored that he will be a special part of our day. Zach and Emily will also be getting married in June of 2025, congrats to them and we wish them the best!

Emily Keaton

Maid of Honor

My friendship with Emily began freshman year of college. First semester of freshman year at UTK, Emily and I had two classes together. Coincidentally, we also had multiple classes together our second semester! Finally, realizing that we lived in the same dorm hall, we decided to start hanging out outside of class during our second semester. And on top of that, our moms had already hit it off in the parking lot of Brown Hall because they both had their golden doodles with them and had just connected the dots that Emily's grandmother lived across the street from my grandparents in Morristown. Safe to say we were pretty much destined to be best friends! Over the past few years, Emily and I have enjoyed bottle service trips to Vegas, trips to the beach and Chicago, cruises to Mexico, girls nights, our annual Black Friday shopping date, and so much more. And who could forget the night we got pepper sprayed at Mez, the best spot for margaritas! ;) Her parents, Chad and Lisa, have treated me like their second daughter, and we are incredibly blessed with their friendship. Emily is a larger than life human that has turned from just a girl in my English class to a lifelong friend, and I am incredibly grateful for our friendship and the many years to come. I can't wait to watch Emily walk down the aisle next!

Nick Powers

Groomsman

Nick is another one of my best friends from college. We met freshman year in the Hess dormitory and lived just down the hall from each other. Although we didn’t live together freshman year, we might as well have because we hung out just about everyday. Nick is an easy guy to get along with and he has been a great friend to me ever since we met. We had great memories throughout our 4 years at UTK, from cheering on the Vols, to playing video games way later than we should, to struggling through engineering classes together and applying for jobs. Since graduation, we have remained good friends and Nick still comes down to Knoxville for football games. I will always cherish his friendship and am honored that he will be a part of our day.

Bria Fanney

Bridesmaid

Bria has been one of my best friends since 5th grade. Our friendship has evolved over the years from many elementary school sleepovers, spending Friday and Saturday nights in middle school at the skating rink, high school sleepovers and parties, to college festivities and the occasional frat parties freshman year. Fun fact, Bria was actually the first friend that I was allowed to bring on a family beach vacation. That just goes to show how much my family loves Bria, because I was never allowed to take any friends to the beach. This is because I was apparently too much to handle by myself haha. Back in college, Bria and I even shared a pet goldfish named Gilbert that we won at the county fair. Gilbert managed to live for over three years, probably because Bria's mom Shandra took care of it the whole time we were away at school. Bria and her family have always been like a second family to me and I am incredibly thankful for our lifelong friendship.

Tom Bunting

Groomsman

Tom and I met during our time working together at Duracell in Cleveland, TN. I will never forget the day he walked up to me and asked if I was the new engineer from Connecticut. I was shocked that all the way in a small town like that, I was able to find someone from back home. Since then, we have grown to become great friends and have shared interests in sports, shooting, music, and many others. Tom has a larger than life personality, but he is humble and a true friend in every sense of the word. He’s the guy that never fails to make me laugh way too much. I’ll never forget the time that my parents came down to visit me in Cleveland and wanted to meet my new friend Tom. Despite having just worked a 12 hour shift, Tom came straight to dinner in his work clothes and didn’t forget his usual sense of humor. This just goes to show the type of guy he really is. Megan and I are extremely lucky to have met him and can’t wait to have him join us on our wedding day.

Taegan Collins

Bridesmaid

Taegan... where do I even begin? Taegan has been a wonderful friend of mine since the beginning of high school. From spending most weekends together at speech and debate tournaments in high school, to college game days and nights out, Taegan has always been one of my best friends through it all. Some of our fondest memories are dressing up and "tailgating" in the high school parking lot before the Trojan train to go to high school football games, and we would end every night begging one of our mother's for a girls night sleep over. Even though we went our separate ways after high school, Taegan would still come and visit me at UTK. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we were both back in Morristown and decided to make a whole summer of it, which meant back to our old high school sleepovers. I even went on a beach trip with Taegan's whole family! Taegan is one of the most talented people in the world. She rocked at speech in high school making it all the way to nationals, and later became a model and has lived in places like L.A, Greece, and will soon be moving to New York City. I am extremely grateful for Taegan and her entire family. She has been blessed with the sweetest mom and grandparents, and I am very lucky to know the entire Collins/Royston family.

Kevin Taylor

Groomsman

I met Kevin through Megan’s time working at The Lodge. Fun fact, we actually met on the Lodge team’s retreat in Highlands, NC. I will always respect and appreciate the fact that Kevin acted like a big brother to Megan and made sure to get to know me before giving Megan the ok. Since then, Kevin and I have grown closer over the last few years through playing golf and watching sports. Kevin has a fun personality, but he’s also down to earth and just a great person to look up to. He and his wife Caroline (our day of coordinator) are dear friends of ours and we are blessed to have them be a part of our wedding day!

Brittany Maddux

Bridesmaid

Our friendship began when Brittany was visiting one of my sorority sisters at UTK. Due to a flight cancellation, Brittany ended up staying in the sorority house for almost two whole weeks! This led to the start of a great friendship. Since then, Brittany has continued to come back to Tennessee for football games, college town festivities, and the occasional girls weekend trips to Nashville. I also visit Brittany and her wonderful family 2-3 times per year in Orlando. Visiting Brittany in Orlando, there is never a dull moment and never a solid game plan for the entire trip. Sometimes, (most of the time) these plans involve getting home when the sun comes up. Brittany also holds a very special place in my relationship with Joe. Fun fact, Brittany actually introduced me to Joe! It’s funny how Brittany came all the way from Florida to introduce me to a UT boy. We are honored to have Brittany be a part of our special day. She is the kind of person that is friends with everyone and everyone. She has a heart of gold and always makes sure that those around her are having fun! And a special shoutout to Beth, Brittany's mother, for always being an amazing host every time I come to crash at her house! It's no wonder where Brittany got her sweet personality from.

Jack Woods

Groomsman

Jack is one of my best friends from back home. We grew up on the same street and are only 3 weeks apart in age. Ever since I can remember, we had been hanging out at each other’s house. Jack and I have spent countless days playing sports and video games, from sunrise to the sunset, just to do it again the next day. Golf, tennis, football, basketball, you name it and we’ve played it. I’m not sure how my parents ever handled all of the screaming from Jack and I during our times hanging out and playing games. I think he is one of the only people that can match my competitiveness, but that’s part of what has made Jack into the guy he is today. He is an incredibly talented, humble, funny, and kind person. Fun fact, Jack played golf collegiately at Bryant University and then The University of Maryland while pursuing his Masters Degree. I am honored to have him as one of my groomsmen and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him.

Sarah McIntyre

Bridesmaid

Sarah is the type of friend you always want in your corner. She is always there for her friends and eager to help. One thing about Sarah is that any time there's a party, she is bringing a baked good, and it’s always delicious! She is the type of friend who will hold you accountable and always shoot you straight. Sarah and I became friends in college and enjoyed going to football & basketball games, spending nights out together, and making many trips at 2 AM to Gus' Deli. And, most of the time, Sarah had to be the mom in the friend group to make sure everyone got home safely. Quickly, I grew to learn that Sarah is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I have observed how Sarah always goes out of her way to do for others and make them feel special. Whether it is a friend getting engaged, getting married, or having a baby, Sarah is always the first one to step up to the plate and make sure that we make them feel special during their extraordinary milestone. I am extremely grateful for Sarah and am so happy that she will be standing with me on my special day, and I hope I get to return the favor on her future wedding day!

Jake McNamara

Groomsman

Jake is one of my best friends from Danbury. From Kindergarten all the way up through college, we have remained great friends. We have shared countless memories since our childhood and I look back fondly on all of them. From middle school birthday parties and late night trips to Buffalo Wild Wings in high school, to catching up and hanging out in his hot tub during the freezing cold winters, Jake has been one of my best friends. Jake is very intelligent, humble, fun to be around, and someone that has always been there for me. I will always cherish his friendship and am so glad that he will be standing by my side in May.

Maddie Grisson

Bridesmaid

Maddie and I met the first time I went to visit Brittany in Orlando. All of a sudden, here comes this girl whipping in in a Chevy Camaro, and at that point I knew I would be friends with this girl. If you didn't know, I have a heavy right foot and love fast cars. After that, it was a very eventful night and I even got the opportunity to ride in Maddie's Camaro. This short little trip to Orlando ended with the girls convincing me to book a flight to come back the next month and head to FSU for a 4th of July weekend I would never forget. Over the past few years, I have continued to go back to Orlando and visit. Maddie has also come to Tennessee a few times, including for a once in a lifetime Morgan Wallen concert in Neyland Stadium. One thing Maddie and I learned that we share in common is our fear of haunted houses. This was discovered when we both attended Halloween Horror Nights at Universal together and decided to leave the group to get butter beer and candy instead so that we didn't have to go through any more of those scary houses. I am incredibly proud to have Maddie be a part of my special day and I will always cherish our friendship and the many more adventures that we will have.

Logan Mathewson

Groomsman

I met Logan through his relationship with Brooke, one of Megan’s bridesmaids. Although Logan and I have only been friends for a relatively short time, he has been a part of many fun holiday parties and UT football watch parties hosted by Megan and me, as well as countless poker nights for the guys. He is a down to earth guy, and just a fun person to be around. We are very honored for Logan to be a part of our day and are excited to continue our friendship in the years ahead!

Brooke Clowers

Bridesmaid

Brooke, there is never a dull moment with you. She has the sweetest soul and the smile on her face lights up whatever room she is in. Brooke and I became friends in college and enjoyed many girls nights and nights out. Over the last couple of years, Brooke and I have become closer as we have shared our love for hosting gatherings. Brooke is one of the best hosts and always makes every party at her house fabulous. Through craft nights, Galentine's Day festivities, and UT football watch parties, we have shared several special memories that will last a lifetime. I am extremely grateful for my friendship with Brooke and am excited to have her stand by me on my wedding day, and can't wait to attend many more parties hosted by Brooke!

Jack Yardley

Groomsman

Jack is one of my best friends from college. He and I met at orientation before our freshman year at UTK and since then Jack has been an incredible friend to me for the past 7 years. I will always be grateful that we ended up as orientation roommates because I truly gained a friend for life. After freshman year, we were roommates for three years and had some of the funniest moments of my life. I could probably write a book about our sophomore year alone. We have spent countless hours watching (and screaming over) Tennessee sports, working out at the TRECS, practicing for job interviews, and attempting to play halfway decent golf. Jack is a great man and I am very fortunate for his friendship. We are very excited for him to be a part of our day!

Lexie Helton

Bridesmaid

If I could say that anyone has a heart of gold, it’s Lexie. Lexie is one of the most creative, artistic, and talented people that I know. She is always willing and eager to help out when I am in dire need of craft supervision. She is always the go to person when you need any design suggestions or you've really just messed something up. Lexie has always found a way to turn my disasters into masterpieces, no matter how far gone. I met Lexie in college and we were roommates for two years, and yes I always went to her room for inspiration when it came to decorating mine. Lexie would always cook the best pasta and bake cookies for all of the roommates, and she was always ready to jump in the car to be my McDonald's coke buddy. Recently, Lexie became a mother to sweet baby Baker. Wow, was she meant for that role! Let's just say his nursery is out of this world and everything is embroidered. Baby Baker is extremely blessed to have such a special human being as his mother. The way Lexie holds and cares for Baker is a beautiful sight and just another example of her incredible soul. We couldn’t be happier for Lexie and Hunter. I am so thrilled to have Lexie as one of my bridesmaids on my special day, and I am so happy to be a part of this next chapter of Lexie's life as a mother.
