LOL, (snort laugh) We don't know the exact date we met. It was sometime in August during move-in day at Gustavus. It was 95 F and humid as heck. That's all we can recall from the day we met. So we met each other at our smelliest + sweatiest. But really, we shared the same dorm building together. We had one religion class together freshman year and that's what started our friendship. Mostly agonizing over how strict the professor was and her tests. We were friends going different paths until we found ourselves in nursing school together. After those long commutes at 4 AM to clinical rotations and nights studying we bonded stronger together as friends. Claire went to South Africa and texted Joey a lot (not sure why). But then Claire hung out with Joey's family for a week and then Claire developed feelings for Joey. Then Claire told Joey she had feelings for him on February 27th 2016. After a long awkward silence, Joey decided he had feelings for Claire too. The rest is history.

We were on a road trip to Duluth, Minnesota and Joey proposed at Sugar Loaf Cove! Jane (Claire's Mom) was waiting patiently back at the visitor center while Joey proposed. Claire said "YES"! Joe also surprised Claire with her favorite wine from a winery they visited in Verona, Italy the past Spring.

I always tell Joe that he "will never be bored in life" with me. - Claire I always tells Claire to continue dreaming and I'm the "make it happen" guy. - Joe Aug. 2016--> Joe flies to see Claire in Alaska for two weeks during the summer. We went rafting down the Kenai River and had the best $2 sandwich ever. Jan. 2017--> We had this wild idea to go on a 27 day road trip from Minnesota to the Coast of Oregon in the middle of Winter. July 2017--> We graduated college + passed the NCLEX. Then shortly after we flew to Uganda to work with an orphanage and mobile medical unit that Claire googled and reached out to. Aug. 2017--> Joe comes back to Alaska to help her pack and we had a way too close encounter with a bear while hiking. We then moved to Idaho for nursing jobs. March 2018--> We took another road trip with Jane (Claire's Mom) to Zion National Park. First time staying in Airbnb. Aug. 2018--> We moved back to Minnesota. April 2019--> We went backpacking in Austria and Italy. July 2019--> We went to Sedona, Arizona to hike in the HOT desert sun. Sept. 2019--> We got ENGAGED Ya'll!!! &&..We have many more adventures left to come.
