What is the dress code?

Answer

Wedding casual/semi - formal: Suits, cocktail dresses, tuxes and gowns are welcome. Please no shorts or jeans.

Question

This is an outside wedding, what shoes should I wear?

Answer

There will be light walking through northern Wisconsin lake country to the ceremony location, please wear shoes that can accommodate this (i.e. wedges, low pumps, dressy sandals, dressy flats, cowboy boots).

What are the transportation expectations?

Answer

Guests are responsible for transportation to/from the ceremony and the reception. If you are interested in a car service please see: https://www.stargazerlimousine.com/

Where should I park at the Ceremony spot?

Answer

Lost Canoe Trail is a dead end road and parking will be tight. We will have Usher's helping direct traffic/parking along with shuttling opportunities. Please allow enough time prior to the ceremony, as "the doors" will be closed 15 minutes prior to the service. There will be plenty of parking at Chippewa Retreat Resort.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We would suggest Rhinelander (RHI) as it is the closest in proximity. However, it will have fewer flight and rental car selections. You could also fly into Wausau, Green Bay, or Madison reginal airports. Minneapolis (MSP) and Milwaukee (MKE) are the nearest International airports.

Where should we stay?

Answer

Due to high tourism in the area, we were unable to reserve a hotel block for guests. We recommend searching Airbnb, VRBO, HomeToGo, hotels.com, or local resorts. The closer you are to Chippewa Retreat Resort the better the experience will be for you.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

If rain is in the forecast, we will make the decision 2 days prior and communicate this with you via this website. All wedding activates will then reside at Chippewa Retreat Resort.
