No! But if you want to...we will be hosting a Friday 5k purely for fun. Come run, walk, or cheer on the bride & groom!
In Filipino tradition, the engaged couple choose Principal Sponsors (not unlike parents choosing godparents for their child's baptism) as people they love and trust to offer marital advice and guidance throughout the couple's married life. Additionally, there are a few Filipino traditions that involve ceremony Sponsors. They are the Veil Sponsors, the Cord Sponsors and the Unity Candle Sponsors. They participate in the marriage ceremony in small ways with these items. For more information, we've included a link below. Amanda grew up going to many Filipino Catholic family weddings and has always dreamed of including these rituals in her wedding. For information on Joe and Amanda's chosen sponsors, you can visit the Wedding Party page. www.linandjirsa.com/filipino-wedding-traditions
