FAQs

Question

How do we RSVP?

Answer

We still have to confirm all the details with the wedding planner so we are not ready to ask for RSVPs yet. We will update the website and let you know when we need responses. We will ask you to RSVP for each event and pick your meal choice for the wedding day (you can also tell us about any allergies and dietary requirements here too). At this point we will also ask for your flight details then too to help with transfers if you are wanting to do this.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We understand the difficulty that travelling abroad for the wedding makes for childcare but we have decided, other than our nephew Arthur, the wedding will be child-free.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at the venue for the whole weekend and wedding day.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code for the wedding day is cocktail attire. Most of you already know Jodie has banned shorts and flip flops for the wedding day but there’s no requirement for suit jackets. The average temperate in France in August is mid-high 20s. The ceremony and reception will be held outside, when temperatures do drop and the chateau will endeavour to provide as much shade as possible. With the exception of the wedding ceremony and reception, please feel free to wear whatever you’re comfortable in.

Question

Can you help us getting to and from the airport?

Answer

When you RSVP, we will ask if you want help getting to and from the airport to the Chateau (or the surrounding accommodation in Ginestas). We will look to group people on the same flights and book transfers for you to keep costs down. Of course you are welcome to organise for yourself too if you want. If you are flying into Spain, the train to Narbonne would be the best option. If you are planning on attending for the wedding weekend only and don’t want to go off and explore France please don’t feel like you need to hire a car. If you are hiring a car and want any recommendations of places to visit nearby, let us know as we went out in November and visited some beautiful towns in the area.

Question

Is the venue cash or card?

Answer

Guests can pay as they go when ordering drinks / food / snacks, or they can set up a room tab to be paid at the end of each day, or most commonly, on departure / the night before. They accept cash or cards, and have a contactless card machine. The only currency they accept is Euros.

Question

I’m staying in the Chateau, when do I need to send you the money?

Answer

We need to have received your money no later than 1st March 2025 so that we can pay the venue. If you want to send it sooner that’s not a problem but we know money might be tight after buying flights and with Christmas soon to follow which is why we’ve pushed it back from the original date of November. Drop us a message when you are sending the money and we will share the bank details to transfer to us.

Question

I still have questions, who can I contact?

Answer

Please drop either of us a text with any other questions. We know we haven’t been able to give all the details yet but wanted to get the flights and accommodation out to guests early so people can start booking if they want.

Question

What amenities do the rooms have?

Answer

Bedrooms on site have a hair dryer and bathroom towels, they also provide pool towels. There is an “ironing station” set up in the wine barn for all guests to share (not to bring into bedrooms) and a small portable steamer.
