Where is the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in the Novitiate Garden at St. Ann's Academy, with the reception to follow at The Fort Commons. Both are located downtown Victoria, BC and are less than 10 minute walking distance from each other. The closest airport is Victoria International Airport YYJ. There is Uber and taxis from the airport, and otherwise, everything downtown is walkable. Please see the TRAVEL page to find more in-depth instructions on travelling to Victoria.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a small Indigo pay parking lot located by the Blanshard street entrance; there is a ticket dispenser that takes credit cards or cash. A mix of free (2 hr) and paid street parking is available on the perimeter of the property. The Humboldt Street gate will be opened for arrivals and departures for the ceremony. Parking at the reception is limited, however, there is street parking and parkades located nearby.

Can I bring a plus-one?

We're so excited to have you at our wedding and to keep things cozy, we’re sticking to a strict ‘no plus-ones’ policy. We promise it’s not personal—just our way of ensuring we have room for everyone to dance the night away.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress in garden party cocktail attire. Midi, full-length dresses or gowns, and suits (with or without a tie) are all welcome. Please note that the ceremony will take place on grass, so we recommend choosing footwear accordingly, especially if you’re considering heels. No jeans, please. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We won’t be providing shuttles, as there are plenty of hotel and Airbnb options throughout Victoria, and both our venues are within walking distance of each other. Downtown Victoria is super walkable, and if needed, Ubers and local taxis are also available.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We’d love for you to join us the morning after the wedding for a casual hangout at Reid's Parents' house. We know some of you may be heading out early, but if you’re around, it’s a sweet chance to say one more hello (or goodbye) before we all part ways. There will be coffee and pastries, and lots of lounging out on their beautiful patio. 11-1 at 1277 Rocklands ave.
