It all started with a DM! Zaide and Jocelyn began talking after he direct messaged her saying "You are very beautiful and I would love to get to know you better". That is what initially started the exciting journey of Jocelyn and Zaide. The first interaction was at a party, where Zaide asked Jocelyn on their first date. Shortly after where the connection really kindled was their first date at the Cheesecake Factory. They spent 5 hours talking, laughing and getting to know each other. Jocelyn shared her hopes and dreams, Zaide shared his testimony of when he came to know Jesus, and more about himself. Jocelyn and Zaide grew together over time realizing they both wanted their faith to be the center of their relationship. As they grew closer and through college their relationship began to become more serious. Zaide was seeking out what was next after graduation when he heard a call from the Lord to New Orleans! Jocelyn, wanting to follow the Lord along side Zaide agreed to the direction. On November 18th, 2016 (Anniversary of Jocelyn's parents), God answered Zaide's fast and many prayers in saying "yes" to propose to Jocelyn. On December 19th of 2016 Zaide brought his best friend back to where it all began (Cheesecake Factory). He proposed at the same table they sat at on their first date and she said yes. Although the couple was long distance at first and it was difficult at times, the power couple continued to push through and grow their relationship together. Jocelyn soon after moved to Louisiana to finish school. Jocelyn and Zaide are excited to soon combine their lives together in holy matrimony and serve the lord together while enjoying the journey!
