🏨 Where to Stay

*The following price estimates are for a group of 4 for 3 nights. Feel free to modify based on your group size and budget.* | Hotel | Est. Cost (4 guests, 3 nights) | Notes | ⭐ Upper Tier | Grand Velas Hotel | ~$4,000 USD | Luxury beachfront resort, relaxing oasis, near the airport. A short Uber ride from the city center. | 🏑 Mid Tier | Hotel Rosita | ~$900 USD | No-fuss, cozy, and local. Walking distance to the beach and city center. | 🏠 Airbnb | Various | ~$500 USD | Our top recommendation for budget-conscious guests or larger groups. More space, more local charm, and great value. |

πŸš— Getting Around

**Use Uber β€” ALWAYS.** Ubers in Puerto Vallarta are cheap, safe, and reliable. Download the app before you arrive. ⚠️ **Do NOT take taxis.** Unfortunately, taxi scams are very common in tourist areas. Stick to Uber for all transportation. πŸ›¬ Arriving at the Airport The airport only allows taxis inside β€” do **not** try to order an Uber to the terminal or you will run into trouble. Here's what to do instead: 1. Exit the terminal and **ignore anyone approaching you** offering taxis or Ubers β€” these are hustlers and you will be overcharged. 2. Take the **4-minute walk across the street bridge** to the sidewalk outside. 3. From there, open your Uber app and request your ride normally. 4. Follow **only** the directions in your Uber app β€” do not engage with anyone on the street.

πŸŽ‰ What To Do

πŸŒ† Neighborhoods & Nightlife Zona RomΓ‘ntica β€” Puerto Vallarta's most vibrant and tourist-friendly neighborhood, known as the LGBTQ+ friendly zone. Great for food, bars, boutique shopping, and evening strolls. Safe and lively even at night β€” just always travel in pairs! El MalecΓ³n β€” The place to be after dark. A iconic oceanfront boardwalk lined with nightclubs, bars, live shows, and street food vendors. Don't miss the famous **Pow-Wow shows** that take place along the MalecΓ³n at night. 🀿 Activities We Recommend Book through **Groupon** or directly with the operator for the best prices: - πŸ§— Ziplining - 🐴 Beach horseback riding - 🀿 Snorkeling - πŸͺ‚ Parasailing - πŸ›₯️ Jet skis - 🌿 PVR Botanical Garden - β›ͺ Visiting the local churches - πŸŒ™ **Vallarta Adventures / Rhythms of the Night** β€” a truly unforgettable dinner and show experience on a private beach. Highly recommended! πŸ’ƒ A Special Note on Our Venue If you fall in love with Majahuitas at the wedding β€” go back! Our venue transforms into a luxury beach nightclub on weekends. It's a one-of-a-kind experience and a fun way to relive the magic of the wedding night.

πŸ’‘ Practical Tips

πŸ’΅ Currency The local currency is the **Mexican Peso (MXN)**. While many places accept credit cards, always carry cash β€” especially for tips, street food, and smaller vendors. πŸ™ Tipping Puerto Vallarta is a tourist destination and tipping makes a real difference to locals. Please tip generously at restaurants, hotels, tours, and anywhere you receive service. πŸ“± Phone & Data Order and install an **eSIM before you leave home** β€” it's the easiest and most affordable way to stay connected. Do not rely on roaming charges.
