When and where is the ceremony?
Answer
The wedding will take place on December 18, 2026, at Majahuitas, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. As the venue is only accessible by boat, guests will depart from the Puerto Vallarta Marina (Paseo de la Marina Norte, Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco 48335, Mexico) at approximately 4:30 PM. Please plan to arrive at the marina by 4:00 PM — there is only one boat departure. Please refer to the Schedule page for the most up-to-date departure times.

Is it safe to travel to Puerto Vallarta?
Answer
We completely understand that safety is a top concern, and we want to address this openly and honestly. We are aware that earlier this year an incident in Puerto Vallarta received significant media attention. We have firsthand familiarity with this area and were present during that time — no civilians were harmed. The situation was largely a politically motivated demonstration, significantly amplified and in many cases misrepresented by social media and AI-generated content. The very next day, restaurants and bars were full of tourists and life continued as normal. We will not deny that, like many regions, Puerto Vallarta has a cartel presence. However, Puerto Vallarta is historically one of the safest tourist destinations on Mexico's Pacific Coast, welcoming millions of visitors from around the world each year. We will continue to monitor the situation throughout 2026 and will keep you informed. Please know that your safety and comfort are our absolute top priority — we would never ask our loved ones to travel somewhere we did not feel fully confident about.

What is the weather like in December?

December is truly the perfect time to visit Puerto Vallarta. Expect mild temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s°F, low humidity, virtually no rain, and cool, comfortable evenings. Mosquitos are minimal this time of year, making for an incredibly pleasant outdoor experience.

What is the dress code?
Answer
We would love for our guests to embrace the magic of our tropical setting! We encourage formal wear in bright, vibrant colors — think linen suits, dress shirts, and slacks for gentlemen, and ankle- or floor-length gowns for ladies. Out of respect for cultural tradition, please avoid wearing white. A note on footwear: we kindly ask that you leave stilettos and thin-heeled shoes at home. The venue features a scenic jungle path and beautiful sandy surroundings, so we strongly recommend block heels, low heels, or going barefoot entirely — we want everyone looking and feeling their best all night long! 🌴 While the dress code is a suggestion rather than a strict requirement, it is warmly encouraged so we can all celebrate together in style.

How long is the boat ride?
Answer
The boat ride is approximately 45 minutes each way. Depending on ocean currents, there may also be a short 15-minute jungle walk to reach the venue — all part of the adventure! Ginger mints will be readily available on board for anyone who experiences seasickness.

Will there be security?

Yes. Before boarding the boat, all guests will pass through Mexican Navy security. This includes a metal detector screening and a bag check. Please note that prohibited items include weapons, outside alcohol, drugs, glass items, and similar restricted goods. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in making this process smooth and efficient.

The venue is a breathtaking beachside peninsula surrounded by lush jungle and swaying palm trees. The space features an outdoor dance floor, a full bar, and restroom facilities. It is a truly one-of-a-kind setting — intimate, tropical, and completely private.

The ceremony, reception, and dancing will all take place outdoors under the beautiful Puerto Vallarta sky. Indoor restroom facilities will be available throughout the evening. And should the celebration call for a little rest, there is a dreamy oversized net bed strung between palm trees right by the beach — feel free to take a moment to recharge before getting back on the dance floor! 🌊

Yes! The entire celebration — ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing — will take place on a stunning private peninsula. Please note that all guests will arrive and depart together as a group. Early departure will not be possible, so we kindly ask that you plan your evening accordingly.

Absolutely! Food and drinks will be provided throughout the evening, including an open bar serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Our menu will feature poultry and seafood dishes inspired by the beautiful coastal surroundings. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, you will have the opportunity to let us know when you complete your RSVP form.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Due to the nature of the venue and terrain, the space is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, we are able to arrange alternative transportation for a limited number of guests who may have difficulty with the jungle walk — this would be a seated ATV ride to the venue instead of the hike. Please reach out to us directly so we can make the necessary arrangements for you.

The closest airport is Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It is well-connected to major US cities and offers both direct and connecting flight options.

While everyone is welcome to book travel around their own schedule, we understand that this may be the first international trip for some of our guests. Do I need a visa to enter Mexico?
Answer
Visa requirements vary by nationality. Egyptian passport holders must apply for a Mexican visa within 6 months of travel. US citizens, Green Card holders, and valid US visa holders do not require a Mexican visa. For all other nationalities, we kindly recommend consulting your local Mexican consulate or embassy well in advance to confirm your requirements.

No specific vaccinations are required for travel to Puerto Vallarta. The standard vaccines recommended for US travel are generally sufficient for Mexico as well. The wedding celebration will take place on Friday, December 18th. Please plan your flights to arrive in Puerto Vallarta no later than 11:00 AM on December 18th to allow ample time to check in, unpack, and get ready before the 4:00 PM marina departure. On Saturday, December 19th, we would love to gather one more time for a relaxed, casual get-together — more details to come! We encourage guests to plan their return flights for Sunday, December 20th, though you are more than welcome to extend your stay and soak up everything this beautiful destination has to offer. We are happy to share recommendations for exploring the area further!

The local currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted throughout Puerto Vallarta. That said, we encourage guests to carry some pesos as well — tipping culture is very much a part of daily life here, and it is a wonderful way to show appreciation to locals and service staff.

We highly encourage guests to set up an eSIM before arriving in Mexico for seamless connectivity. Please keep in mind that once you depart the marina, you should expect limited or no cell service until you return.
