Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We don't have a specific registry through a store. Instead we are using Zola for our registry. This is also on our wedding website. It is more convenient to add items from all different companies this way.

Question

What is parking like on Folly Beach?

Answer

If you are parking on the side of the street, please be sure you are not blocking a driveway, and that your wheels are COMPLETELY off of the road. They love writing parking tickets in busy season. The pier and county park charge a small fee for parking, but they do have lots with more availability (first come first serve). There are also several "parking lots" that local's run that charge cash for daily parking. These are safe, and great locations for the shops/restaurants if you don't want to drive around and look for street parking.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We are having a small ceremony on the beach with just our immediate families. But we invite everyone to come to the venue at the same time for cocktails and to catch a glimpse of the "I Do's". The Ceremony starts at 5:00 pm, and will be short and sweet. Partying and pictures directly after (: PRO TIP: There is only one bridge on and off the island, so traffic can back up quickly. Estimate an added 15-25 min of drive time if you are not staying on Folly Beach.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Sure! We are calling it "Hawaiian chic!" Jimmy buffet attitudes and Hawaiian shirts welcome! The weather is generally in the 70s during the day this time of year, and can get pretty chilly at night. Ladies, think florals and bright tropical colors! But be prepared, it's windy in the Spring season (especially on the beach). Shoes NOT required.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please only bring a plus one if your invite specifies so. The venue limit is 200 and we are already squeezing our friends and family into that number (believe it or not). If you know the Lloyd's, that's a small head count for a family get together.

Are kids welcome?

We LOVE kids, and what better place to bring them than the beach! Kids are welcome, and there will be some beach games provided (:

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotels are limited on the small island. We have a reserved block at Tides Hotel. This is right beside the pier on center street, conveniently located near all of the shops and restaurants. There is also the only ocean front bar/restaurant on the bottom floor here! Every room has an ocean view, and the beach has a lifeguard out in front of this hotel. Please call (843) 588-6464 to inquire about booking a room. We recommend staying at an AirBNB/VRBO if you want to escape the crowds and have a little more leg room on the beach. PRO TIP: our shuttle will be picking up from Tides Hotel the night of the wedding and dropping off there

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is limited at the venue, and is first come first serve. Your costs will be covered, just be sure to tell the kiosk you are here for the wedding (: If parking is full, you may park on any road at Folly. Please keep your tires off the pavement and avoid blocking driveways when street parking. We will have a shuttle running from Tides Hotel on center street. We recommend parking near Center Street if you want a shuttle back to an easy Uber pick up location, or to party downtown Folly with us after!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be a shuttle running from Tides Hotel on Folly Beach to and from the ceremony. Please arrive early, as parking is hard to find and traffic can be tricky in the busy season. PICK UP IS AT 5 PM SHARP. If you are staying on Folly in a house rental, we recommend walking, or Ubering to Tides Hotel for shuttle service.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please check out or schedule page on our wedding website for details. We are hosting a welcome party for out-of-towners the night before the wedding. There will be separate invites to this for family and friends travelling for our special day. If you are still in town Sunday, we will be fishing and beaching it from our house rental on Folly. We invite anyone and everyone to join and nurse their hangovers with us!
