Chapter 1: My Sister My sister is my partner in crime and has so often been my role model. I could think of no better person than her to be my matron of honor. She will help me plan and keep me sane during this whole process. The book I annotated for her was Circe: a retelling of the Odyssey from Circe's point-of-view.

Chapter 2: Friend From Birth Lizzy and I have known each other since her birth which means I don't even know where to start when it comes to describing our friendship. We've been through it all and have talked about everything together. You never forget your childhood friends. The book I annotated for Lizzy is called Cinder; a science fiction retelling of the classic Grimm fairytale Cinderella.

Chapter 3: High School and Beyond It all started with nail polish and a homecoming dress. Becca has been a steady part of my life for so many years that I couldn't imagine getting married without her there. I can't wait to party it up with her. There's nothing she wouldn't do for me. The book I annotated for her was Legendborn: a YA novel about Arthurian legend and the intersection of race and societal norms.

Chapter 4: Veterinary School Maxine is the reason I made it through veterinary school as sane as I am today. We've laughed, partied and cried our way through school together. Who ever said a Gemini and a Scorpio are supposed to hate each other? For Maxine I annotated Fahrenheit 451; a dystopian literary classic with too many similarities to our world today.
