Despite growing up four houses down from each other, Sam and Joanna first met in the 5th grade at Lithia Springs Elementary. Still, they didn't become friends until the end of their Sophomore year of high school. As the COVID lockdown was ending for Sam and Joanna was switching to Newsome High School, they quickly bonded and became best friends entering into Junior year. However, the friendship ended when Sam developed feelings for Joanna that were not reciprocated at the time... And this was when they learned about God's perfect timing! The following year they reconnected at yearbook picture day when Joanna took a chance and walked up to Sam to say hi. About a month later, Sam started messaging Joanna and their bond clicked right back into place. Within a few weeks, they began to go on dates, the first of which being to Panera Bread (Joanna's favorite restaurant), and became official on December 23rd, 2022. They said "I love you" for the first time a month later on Sam's 18th birthday. And the rest is history...
