What date should I RSVP by?

What is the dress code?

Answer

For Catholic weddings, attire should be modest and respectful, reflecting the sacredness of the church setting. Guests should avoid overly casual or revealing clothing. While no strict dress code exists, guests generally dress formally, with suits and ties for men and knee-length or longer dresses, skirts, or pantsuits for women. For Women: Modesty is Key: Avoid bare shoulders, short hemlines, and plunging necklines. Consider a Shawl or Wrap: A shawl or wrap can be used to cover shoulders during the ceremony if needed. Knee-Length or Longer: Dresses, skirts, or pantsuits should be knee-length or longer. Avoid White: White or ivory should be avoided, as it's traditionally reserved for the bride. Comfort is Important: Choose comfortable shoes and clothing, as Catholic ceremonies can be lengthy. For Men: Suit and Tie: A suit and tie are generally appropriate. General Guidelines for Guests: Respect the Church: A Catholic church is a sacred space, so dress accordingly. Don't Match the Wedding Party: Guests are not expected to match the attire of the bridal party. Check the Invitation: The invitation may specify a dress code (e.g., formal, semi-formal). Consider the Time of Day: Daytime weddings can allow for more colorful and floral options, while evening weddings may call for more formal attire. Also check the weather day of the event, it'll likely be warm. Avoid Bright or Neon Colors: Subdued or classic colors are generally more appropriate. Where is the ceremony located?

The full grace of the Sacrament of Matrimony with Mass and Ceremony will commence at 11am on June 4th, 2026, at Good Sheperd Catholic Church in 9539 Racquet Ct, Elk Grove, CA 95758.

Can I take pictures/videos during the church ceremony?

Answer

To preserve the sacred atmosphere of the Mass, we kindly ask that all guests refrain from using cellphones during the ceremony and silence or turn off all devices. Please stay unplugged and fully present in the moment with us. Barring true emergencies, calls and messages can wait until after Mass. Furthermore, this helps ensure our photographers and videographers can capture the ceremony without distractions.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before the ceremony and reception, to allow time for parking and finding your seat.

What are the parking options?

Answer

While there is ample parking at both the church and venue, we kindly encourage carpooling if possible or rideshare—particularly if you’ll be enjoying a few drinks at the reception.

Where is the reception located?

Answer

Please join us for an evening of dinner, unlimited soft drinks, Cash Bar, desserts & dancing at Evergreen Springs by Wedgewood Weddings in 8290 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758. Cocktail hour begins at 5pm and Reception at 6pm. Schedule can be found at the 'Schedule' tab above on our website.

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

For your convenience, we recommend arranging your own transportation during your stay. Carpooling, car rental, ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft, or local taxi services are encouraged. You can find transportation links on your invitation or by visiting the ‘Hotel & Travel’ tab above.”

Are there hotel blocks or recommendations?

Answer

If we receive enough requests for hotel accommodations via the RSVP form, we will arrange hotel blocks for our guests. Guests are responsible for booking and payment.

Is there a registry?

Answer

In honor of Cambodian tradition, we kindly request monetary gifts in place of material ones. Contributions may be given via Venmo or Zelle, with additional opportunities to give during our reception traditions such as the Filipino Money Dance and Cambodian Money Reach. Thank you for your love and support!

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we kindly request an adults-only celebration. If you are unable to find childcare, please reach out to us to discuss the possibility of including your children, this can also be requested by completing the RSVP form. Attendance for children will be considered upon approval by the couple.

Are plus-ones allowed?

Answer

Plus-ones are by invitation only. We appreciate your understanding as we cannot accommodate additional guests due to limited space. Thank you.

What is a Cash Bar?

Answer

In addition to unlimited complimentary refreshments, a cash bar will be open for guests who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages. Card payments only, as well as Apple Pay, is acceptable for payment methods. Cash only accepted for tips.

What's on the Evergreen Spring Bar Menu?

Answer

They have a variety of spirits, wine, beer, and signature drinks. Click the 'Bar Menu' link through the 'RSVP' tab on our website to see what will be provided on our special day.

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

At Good Sheperd Catholic Church for the wedding ceremony, no smoking is allowed in the church or on church grounds, including the parking area. For the reception at Evergreen Springs by Wedgewood, smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the venue.

Will there be dietary restrictions accommodated?

Answer

Yes, please state them by completing the RSVP form. The Wedgewood Weddings Caterer is well-acquainted with a variety of dietary choices and health needs, including those on gluten-free diets, vegetarians, and vegans, as well as accommodating other dietary choices, such as sugar-free and dairy-free meals. Best of all, they don’t let anything take away from the flavor and quality of our dishes: they rely on fresh, local ingredients, fragrant herbs and spices, and the wisdom of many international cuisines to guarantee everything served at the event is both appetizing and delicious.
