FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jasmine Overbaugh and James Kamphaus
Question

When are the main events beginning?

Answer

The wedding events will officially kick off Wednesday, June 24th; but we encourage all guests to arrive the day before to settle in and get used to the time difference before catapulting you into multiple days of fun, family and friends. June 23rd-28th, 2026. If you're feeling really frisky, plan a lil weekend trip beforehand(or after) - somewhere close in Europe! Don't blame us if you get an iconic vacation out of our wedding!

Question

What am I paying for and what is the bride and groom providing?

Answer

The bride and groom are joyfully covering all wedding-related events; however, please note that travel expenses—including your flight, accommodations, and any optional excursions—will be at your own cost.

Question

Is transportation provided on the island?

Answer

For guests flying into Heraklion International Airport during the recommended wedding travel dates, transportation to and from the airport will be provided by the Bride and Groom. Arrival Dates: June 23–24 Departure Dates: June 28–29 Guests arriving or departing outside of these dates will be responsible for arranging their own transportation. Transportation will also be provided to and from the rehearsal dinner, which will take place off-site from the resort. Transportation for all excursions selected by the Bride and Groom is included as well. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Mary Hanna’s team.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding event(s)?

Answer

Yes, because everyone is considered a part of the wedding party, James and Jasmine request a certain color or style/vibe at specific meals/events you will attend. The bride and groom have the guest's best interest in mind and will not require anything unattainable or do not wish to request a dress code that would make the guest uncomfortable. This information can be found in the 'Wedding Dress Code' page PLEASE NOTE: We must consider Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas' very own dinner dress code. They ask that every guest at dinner time dress "Smart Casual to Formal" NO Shorts or Tank Tops during dinner.

Question

Do I have to attend the excursions offered?

Answer

No, all excursions offered to guests are optional. The bride and groom curated excursions for the wedding event that celebrate the country's land, spirit and history while keeping true to their interests and personalities. Sometimes that may not align with the guest's idea of a good time! That's absolutely fine! James and Jasmine's intentions are for everyone to enjoy themselves while on this beautiful island. So explore what you want; lounge on the beach or stay in bed all day. As long as you're comfortable and happy! Stay tuned for more info about excursion options.

Question

What if I RSVP'd 'YES' and now I can't make it?

Answer

James and Jasmine completely understand that "life happens," and have had their fair share of switch ups. Contact our team at SimplyMaryed if you've filled out a booking form or paid for your room already; and let the bride and groom know as soon as possible. We will have a live feed of the wedding ceremony and hope to have videos and photos to share in real time. Their gift registry will also be available to provide support to their honeymoon and expenses for their home they have together. They do not love you any less and will happily celebrate with you on your own terms!

Question

Where should I expect to fly into when traveling to the wedding event?

Answer

When booking your flight with Mary Hanna at SimplyMary'ed she will have you fly into the Heraklion Airport located 50 minutes away from Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas. From there, transportation will be provided by the bride and groom to the resort.

Question

What should I pack to enjoy Crete, Greece?

Answer

It will be summer time on the gorgeous island - so make sure you're ready for the heat! Though June on the island of Crete averages a large vary of 70-88 degrees! We will be on a resort type property that provides multiple pools and a private beach access so a swimsuit and sunscreen seem to be a necessity. Once you've RSVP'd and put your first down payment for your room, the bride and groom will provide specific attire colors and vibes for certain wedding events that the guest is required to attend through a physical itinerary that will be mailed to you. Otherwise, comfortable shoes for exploring the breathtaking island, sunglasses for seeing the sights, and a celebratory spirit for the unity of James and Jasmine are just a few things the bride and groom suggest you bring while at the wedding event!

Question

Does the bride and groom have a registry?

Answer

Your presence is a present! They can not stress that enough! If you still wish to show extra love and support to the bride and groom -or- wish to be there but can not attend the wedding event and want to support them, a honeyfund will be found under the 'registry' tab on this website. Their honeyfund will go to their honeymoon and any expenses they wish to make to upgrade their home once back from their celebration.
