Our Story

When God writes the choreography, every step leads to love.

It all started with prayer. During his first year as a missionary in 2022, Juan entered into mission with FOCUS and committed to a dating fast. In that season, he carried a deep ache—a longing to give of himself fully, just as Christ did for the Church. Countless holy hours and pages of journaling during adoration became a way of surrendering those desires to Christ, laying them at the foot of His Cross. For Jenna Mae, a similar ache stirred in her heart—a yearning to find the right man to walk with. One night, she turned to St. Joseph and asked for his intercession, entrusting those desires into his care to bring before the Lord. Things unfolded quickly. Juan was originally supposed to remain in Kansas for a second year of mission, but in a last-minute change, God answered those prayers and brought him to San Jose. And then there was dancing. Juan had fallen in love with the beauty of dance during his time on mission, so the moment he found out he’d be sent to San Jose, he immediately looked up the nearest country dance bar. He discovered Number 1 Broadway and, on a Wednesday night, met the Catholic Dance Crew. That same week, he was invited to their workshop—where he and Jenna Mae met for the first time. They shared one dance (which was recorded!), exchanged a simple goodbye, and went their separate ways. But Juan, still drawn to her, waited patiently for another chance. A month later, Jenna Mae came out dancing again—and this time, Juan didn’t let the opportunity pass. He asked her out before the night ended. From there, their love began to grow—through dance and a Christ-centered relationship. Together, Juan and Jenna Mae hope to radiate their shared passion for spreading God’s love and the joy of dance to everyone they encounter.
