I met Abbey in 6th grade and have been so thankful for her friendship ever since. She always shows up and literally never forgets to check in. Abbey always thinks of the small stuff and puts others before herself every single time. She has been a steady presence in my life for so many years and through so many seasons. She's made long distance friendship feel easy and I am so grateful that I can ALWAYS count on her no matter what.

I met Ben at 6th grade basketball tryouts and ever since then we have been best friends. We have shared countless adventures, taco runs, Joshua Tree camp outs and other memories over the past 13 years of friendship. Through all the time spent growing up together, Ben and I have created a friendship that has and will stand the test of time. Ben is intelligent, thoughtful, and funny and I love the way he approaches life in an intellectual & creative way. I know I can count on him for anything.

We met at 12 years old and have been the closest of friends since. Ellie is unique, spunky, fun, kind, empathetic, and thoughtful. She truly helped build the foundation of my faith and is always the perfect balance of goofy and real. We laugh together and cry together and I am so thankful for a friend who listens intently and cares for me so deeply. We have gone through all the ups and downs of life side by side and I know it will be that way forever.

I met Josh freshman year of college and we instantly became best friends. There was nobody better to adventure SLO with; whether it was crazy bike rides or 8ft waves on Thanksgiving day, it was always a good time with Josh. I grew so much in college alongside him through leading a small group together and being discipled together. These are the memories that created the forever bond that we have today and I am so thankful.

I have no memory of life before Gracie, that's how long it's been. Friends since we were 3 and 4, Gracie has walked with me through every stage of life. We grew up together in every sense of the phrase and I am so thankful to call her a lifelong friend. Some of my favorite memories in life are with this girl, we quite literally did everything together! From walking to elementary school together to now walking down the aisle, I am so blessed by 20 years of friendship with such a bold, passionate, kindhearted, and loyal friend.

I've known Justin (Stina) his whole life (big surprise there). I am proud to not only have him as my brother, but as my friend. There is nobody I would rather grow up with, talk about Star Wars/Marvel with, have lightsaber battles with, build legos with, and beat in Super Smash Brothers. Having Justin by my side for as long as I can remember has been such a gift. Justin is someone who always brings a gentle spirit into every conversation and he never puts himself before others. I'm so lucky to have a brother like Justin.

Sharing a room with Lauren for 2 years in college is one of my very favorite things I have done. Having a sleepover with one of my best friends every night was a dream come true! She pushes me in my faith, makes me cry laughing, listens closely, and always reminds me of the big picture. She is one of my greatest supporters and the person who never fails to make me laugh. She is as good as a friend as they come and I couldn't be more blessed to have her in my life.

I have also known Jaden (Bb G) his whole life. Jaden is also more than a brother, he's a friend. He is somebody who everyone loves and it's been so amazing to watch him grow up and become the man he is today. I blocked little 5 year old Jaden's shot about 1000 times and that number is not growing much anymore (I want to make it very clear to everyone that Justin and I take full credit for all and any of Jaden's athletic achievements). He can make anybody laugh at any time and fills every room he is in with energy and joy. I'm so lucky to have a brother like him.

Presley and I lived together my last 2 years of college and she quickly became one of my favorite people. She's got the most contagious laugh and bright spirit that fills a room and she feels so deeply. Presley embodies peace and gentleness and is truly just one of the easiest people to be around. There are very few things she can't do and I love that about her. Presley has been there for me time after time and I wouldn't trade her friendship for the world.

I'm adding another brother to the mix! I first met Ryan when he was in 7th grade and I was a Junior High leader at Saddleback Church. I would be lying if I said I didn't sit next to him on purpose...I knew that being friends with him was bonus points with his sister. But I seriously couldn't be happier to be family with Ryan. He fits in so well with my brothers and I and I'm excited for a lifetime of memories with him. Ryan is always down to bike, surf, or just hang out and it's been so great to watch him turn into the person he is today.

We met our freshman year at Cal Poly but she actually knew James first (since birth...true story)! We ended up living together for 3 years and she instantly became one of my closest friends. Ryann is the definition of fun and when she loves, she loves with all she has. She celebrates people like no other and she is always willing to help no matter what. Ryann serves everyone around her all the time and is truly one of the most generous people I know. I love how we somehow always manage to talk for hours on end thinking it's been 30 minutes…being her friend is a massive blessing in my life.

Cameron is one of my longest friends and one of the people I have experienced the most phases of life with. Our friendship started on the soccer field in 2nd grade and then really grew through our years of small group, basketball, and high school together. One of the things I love most about Cameron is the fact that he brings the child-like side of me out. Everyone always tells me that him and I are so similar and I am always happy to hear that because Cameron is someone that everyone loves.

Ally was one of the first close friends I made in college and from the very beginning, she has been so special to me. She asks the best questions, remembers details, follows up, and shows up. She was such a Godsend to me my freshman year and I have loved getting to continue doing life together all these years later. Ally is resilient, strong, kind, and compassionate and her faith encourages me all the time. She truly brings people together and it's a gift to watch her shine her light everywhere she goes.

The best roommate ever (sorry Justin & Jaden). I was lucky to meet Cade freshman year of college in class and we instantly bonded over a love for the Lakers and through both being college athletes. Before I even fully knew him, we decided to be roommates for the following year (which turned into the next 3 years) and the rest was history. I'm so thankful for the countless taco runs, times playing basketball together, e-bike mobs around SLO, and the deep conversations. Cade is someone who I can always count on and trust.

I've known Hailey since I was 8 years old and to this day, she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is such a perfect example of what true friendship looks like and has remained to be one of my biggest supporters all these years. No matter how far away we live from each other, Hailey has always felt close because of the bond we share. She is sunshine in a human and it's been so fun to grow up together side by side. I will forever admire Hailey's empathy, light, optimism, patience, and strength and I love all the memories we have shared.

Marcus Pantaleon Huerta. One of the hardest working and most loyal people I know. I was lucky to really get to know Marcus during the second half of high school and we became close through classes, sports, and church. Marcus is loved by everyone he meets and immediately made a huge impact on my life by being a true and genuine friend. Even though he now lives in Ohio, he and I still take advantage of any moment to catch up and I am so grateful. Marcus would do anything for any one of his friends, and treats his friends like family. I'm lucky to be family with Marcus. Mamba Forever.

Through living together while I was in high school to walking through hard times on and off the field together, we have always been there for each other and have a very special bond. I will forever remember all of our fun times playing basketball in the yard or NBA Jam with Justin & Jaden. My favorite coach quote is "do as I say, not as I do".

We couldn't be happier to have Bryce officiate our wedding! I (James) first met Bryce when he was my leader at 6th grade summer church camp. Little did I know, he would officiate my wedding 13 years later. Bryce is one of the most special people in my life and I look up to and respect him in so many ways. He has been a spiritual leader and mentor for me, all while being one of my closest friends. Bryce has seen my relationship with Kaitlin from the very beginning, and has always invested into her life in addition to mine. Bryce asks great questions, is honest, loyal, and a true servant. Bryce currently works as the Student Ministries Pastor at Saddleback Church.
