8/8/23 Kerstin proposed to Jaime at the Miror d’eau in Bordeaux, France. His brother surprised him, being the first person to tell about their engagement. 7/28/24 Jaime proposed to Kerstin in Querétaro, Mexico, in front of the famous arches of the city. 7/30/24 Jaime proposed to Kerstin (again, lol) in front of the Temple of the Moon at the pyramids of Teotihuacán, Mexico. The same place her grandmother visited in 1944.

Short story- they met at work. Kerstin thought she owed Jaime fencing gear and Jaime thought he was subtle in checking out Kerstin. They planned on a quick lunch date…which turned into 14 hours. It didn’t take long for them to move in together and assimilate into some domestic bliss. Love came slowly and all at once. It just worked. Jaime told Kerstin that he didn’t need a ring but that he wanted someone to choose him. Kerstin proposed to him (with a ring) in Bordeaux, France (big thx to Scott, Sam, and Angel). One year later, Jaime would propose to Kerstin in Mexico (twice, big thx Oro). They enjoy traveling, the outdoors, thrifting, fencing, cooking, video & board games, and holding hands while grocery shopping to name a few. Kerstin’s mother calls them, “the Velcro couple”. Jaime and Kerstin just call it love.
