Question

When Should I RSVP?

Answer

Please respond as soon as you receive your formal invitation. We ask that you kindly RSVP no later than May 10th. This allows us to coordinate best with our vendors. Unfortunately, any unanswered invitations after this date will be marked as "not attending" due to vendor cut off dates.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 pm. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to the ceremony to ensure plenty of time to park and be seated in the chapel. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the lawn of our reception venue with dinner to follow inside at 6:00 p.m.

May I take photos?

Answer

We kindly request that you refrain from taking photos during our ceremony. Your witness to our union means the world to us and we want everyone to enjoy this special moment together. The Chapel of the Incarnate Word does not allow amateur photography so we have hired a wonderful photographer to capture the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding and promise to share photos as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We have chosen a black tie optional attire. This means, gentlemen wear tuxedos or suit and tie. Ladies, please wear formal gowns or cocktail dresses. Please no jeans or sneakers.

Are children invited?

Answer

Although we love little ones and hope to be blessed with our own someday, we would like to keep our wedding and reception an adult-only event. This excludes the little ones in our bridal party and children of our immediate family. We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy a date night and we appreciate you making prior arrangements.

Can I bring a Plus one?

Answer

We would love to keep our wedding as intimate as possible and reserve more space for our family and friends. If you should receive a plus one, it will appear under your name when you RSVP through the website. Thank you for your understanding.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely! We do ask that all guests please drink responsibly and do not drive if planning on drinking. Please make arrangements for a safe ride home. We can't wait to celebrate accordingly!
