Golden Gate Canyon State Park – A selection of easy to moderate hikes ranging from 3 miles up to 13 miles with good views of fall colors and the Rockies (45 minute drive from Denver) Raccoon Trail, Colorado Panorama Point via Mule Deer Trail and Raccoon Trail, Colorado
A hike along the flatirons ending with a view of a natural arch. A decent amount of elevation gain over 3.3 miles roundtrip. 30 minute drive from Denver.
Abyss Trail to Helms Lake – A longer hike (12 miles) to an alpine lake with excellent leaf views — you can opt to do just a portion of this trail if you are looking for a shorter option. Recommend getting to the trailhead early as parking can be challenging!
