Airports: SFO or OAK

Flights into SFO (closest) and OAK make the most sense as San Jose is about a 90 min drive and usually not worth the savings.

Parking can be a challenge, though not impossible, but Uber and Lyft are very easy in the city and public transit is pretty good. Driving across town is not so bad either!

We recommend searching for accommodations in these SF Neighborhoods: Fisherman's Wharf - Touristy area along the water The Richmond, Pacific Heights, The Marina, The Panhandle - Close to the ceremony location Castro / Noe Valley - SF Gayborhood SFO - Hotels near the airport are not close to the events but are very convenient and possibly more affordable.

Check out AirBnb or VRBO for local house rentals in the city! While accommodations may be more affordable in the Tenderloin, Tender-Nob, Downtown, Lower Nob Hill, Civic Center, SOMA and surrounding neighborhoods, there is a reason for this. If you want a really gritty city experience, check it out. Otherwise, search elsewhere.
