To get to the Thornhill Education Center at the Morton Arboretum, you will first enter the Morton Arboretum through the main entrance off Illinois Route 53 in Lisle, Illinois. All Arboretum visitors enter through these gates, so be prepared for a slight delay in entry lines. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes early to account for travel and parking. After passing through the Arboretum's admission gate, you will be directed to the West Side campus. The West Side can be reached by driving through an underpass just west of the Visitor Center. Please follow the signs to Thornhill Education Center and park in lot P21.
There is a parking lot directly north of the Thornhill Education Center, labeled "P21." Your entrance into the Arboretum is free for the entire day.
Yes! If you're taking a rideshare to the venue, let the gate attendant know you're attending the Schroeder-Heiniger wedding. Your driver will then be allowed to drop you off directly at our venue, the Thornhill Education Center. If you're getting picked up from the venue, your rideshare driver should inform the Morton Arboretum gate attendant, and they can pick you up from Thornhill. You're also welcome to leave your car overnight in Parking Lot 21 and retrieve it the next day.
The ceremony and dinner will be indoors, and weather permitting, we will have cocktail hour and dancing outdoors.
Cocktail attire. Ladies, please note that the cocktail area has brick pavers, so you may want to consider wedges, block heels, or high-heel protectors.
Yes! You will have free admission to the Arboretum all day. It's the perfect opportunity to experience this beautiful place, so please take advantage of this special access earlier in the day and make the most of your visit.
