Is there transportation from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

Please send your itinerary to info@plazatirana.com and they will book a shuttle for you for 23 euros up to 3 people. The driver speaks English and Italian.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we will be arranging bus pick up and drop off to the wedding venue from the Plaza hotel.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Weddings are even more special when kids are present. Please bring the little ones along. We want to get them started early on those dance moves :). Oh, and we'll have an ice cream stand for them and a few treats to keep our little friends entertained.

Will there be a church ceremony

Answer

We decided to opt out on the church ceremony. The vows will be exchanged right before the reception at the same venue.

Should I expect anything unusual at this wedding?

Answer

Yes... a lot of food, fun and dancing. Albanian weddings go on for a long time so make sure you're in a good shape to hit the dance floor. No excuses accepted :). Oh, and money on the dance floor. Albanians like to "throw" $$$$ during weddings.

How many days should I stay in Albania

Answer

It all depends on how much time you have and what you like to do. You can stay anywhere from a weekend to 2 weeks. Please visit the "Things to Do" tab for suggested itineraries.

No need for a visa to go to Albania

What other countries can I visit while in Albania

Answer

Albania is a quick flight to Rome/Milan/Athens. Can also take a ferry from Saranda to Corfu. 5-6 hour drive north will take you to Montenegro or Croatia. Check out the Things To Do tab for more info.

How far is the airport from the hotel/downtown

Answer

Tirana International Airport is about 20 minutes away from the Plaza hotel and cabs are very easily accessible.
