In this day and age, with on-line dating being the norm we boldly jumped into the deep end. We created our on-line profiles, with our best pictures, best selfies, biggest smiles and funniest one liners. After innumerable swipes in search of the perfect match, we luckily both swiped right on each other and met soon after. It didn't take long for us to realize (3rd date) that we had found exactly what we'd been looking for and that swiping had come to an end. We are so lucky to have found each other.

Unusually quickly, we met each other's friends and families which marked this relationship as very serious at an early stage. Everyone was on board with team Jim & Aida! Bets started flowing amongst our friends regarding on which trip Jim would propose. Did he propose on the Panama trip?- No he didn't. Maybe he'll do it in Turks and Caicos? Nope. Perhaps when sailing in the BVIs on Valentines day? - Not on that one either. Being the smart man that he is, Jim did not propose when it was expected. He decided to make everything official on a summer weekend away in P. Town. Jim had booked this getaway as a Valentine's day gift back in February. We had dinner reservations at my favorite restaurant in P. Town. I crave their delicious lobster bisque :). Right before dinner I requested what I called "an artistic picture" as the scenery was beautiful. Jim found the perfect opportunity to ask someone to take a pic of us (the photographer happened to be a radiologist at Boston's children's. For sure he knew what he was doing.) Next thing you know, Jim gets down on one knee, to my surprise pops the question in Albanian, and puts a ring on my hand (initially on the wrong hand. haha).
