There are a lot of affordable hotel options in the same complex as the Wingate where we have the wedding block. The hotel complex off the I-80 Harlem Ave exit contains a very affordable La Quinta Inn, Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, and a few others.

If you looking to stay closer to Palos Park, there are two great options for hotels. One is the Hampton Inn Chicago- Orland Park. The other option is Homewood Suites by Hilton Orland Park. Both hotels are on LaGrange Avenue between 159th and 167th streets.

Flight
Midway Airport
Midway is the closest airport to all the wedding festivities. Midway services these major airlines: Southwest, Delta, and Frontier. We have not had any issues getting an Uber or Lyfts to and from here. If you are reserving a rental a car there are shuttles to take you to the offsite company locations. Midway’s Rental Car Facility hosts all of its rental companies in one convenient location. It is located at 5150 W. 55th Street. Rental Car pick-up is located at Lower Level Door #2. Shuttles operate 24/7 and are scheduled to run every 15 minutes.

Flight
O'Hare International Airport
O'Hare is another option to fly to and services all major airlines. If you are from Ireland or outside the U.S. this will be your landing site to Chicago. Ubers and Lyfts are in abundance here, taxis are also another option. They have on-site car rental companies that require you taking a short transport. Rental car companies are located in the Multi-Modal Facility (MMF). To get to the MMF from the terminals or reverse, passengers should take the Airport Transit System (ATS). The MMF’s address is: 10255 W. Zemke Blvd., Chicago, IL 60666.
Train
Metra Train System
If you would like to take a day trip into the city of Chicago the Metra is a good option. The Rock Island and the BNSF lines operate on the weekends and during the week there are more options spread across the suburbs. Keep in mind: the weekends have earlier "last train home" times, you may have to download to Ventra app for ticket purchases as not all locations have ticket agents. It is not always the case that you can purchase tickets on the actual train.

Expressway Information from O'Hare
Just a note! If you travel from O'Hare to the wedding festivities/ general area of the south Chicago Suburbs in a rental car your direction guides will most likely tell you to take the Illinois 294 Expressway. This is a toll road, so you will be required to pay somehow and not all check points have workers to collect money. Your best bet is to include an I-PASS with your rental if you will be frequenting I-294. The other major highways to downtown like I-55 is FREE. I-355 is also a tollroad requiring payment. If you do not have an I-PASS you can pay the tolls online, though you have to remember each location you went through and do so within 14 days to avoid fines and fees.
