Things To Do

Stony Brook Village Center

111 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY 11790

Historic Stony Brook village has some lovely locally owned businesses and great spots for a bite to eat- personally we love the soft pretzels from Schnitzels, and the coffee from Crazy Beans is fantastic. In October you might even make it in time to see the dozens of scarecrows that local organizations put together to decorate the storefronts- we make sure to see them every year!

Frank Melville Memorial Park

1 Old Field Rd, Setauket, NY 11733

This 24 acre park is one of our favorite places to visit in the fall. The paved path surrounds the historic Mill Pond and is open for visits every day from sunrise to sunset. Take some time to birdwatch or spot the turtles sunbathing on their favorite tree log!

West Meadow Beach Path Hike

44 West Meadow Lane, Stony Brook, NY 11790

West Meadow Beach Path is a 2.4 mile paved hiking trail located off of West Meadow Beach in East Setauket. It includes occasional path markers with information about the local wetlands reserve and has beautiful views of the sound.
