What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the evening is black-tie. We look forward to seeing all of you in elegant evening gowns, tuxedos, and dark suits, enjoying a formal seated dinner and dancing the night away! Our ceremony and reception will take place indoors, a terrace equipped with outdoor heaters will be open to guests if weather permits. Is there a registry?

Answer

While we do not have a registry, we are saving for renovations on our new home. A card box will be available at the ceremony for gifts and well wishes.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The Armour House will open its doors to guests at 5:00pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. We recommend arriving before 5:15 to allow time for parking and seating before the ceremony begins.

Are there any parking directions?

Answer

While we recommend using Google or Apple Maps to navigate to the address of our venue, GPS directions can get confusing once you enter the Lake Forest Academy grounds. Once you reach campus, many signs will be posted to lead you to the wedding parking lot and the venue entrance.

I'm coming from out of town, what will the weather be like in the area?

Answer

While we are hoping for fair weather, Chicago-area winters can sometimes bring heavy snow and ice. However, The Armour House and the Hilton Garden Inn are in close proximity to the highway and roads will be well-cleared in case of inclement weather. Take care when traveling and check back here for any important updates on weather.
