Q&A

The Wedding Website of Jillian Martin and Jeffrey Prendergast
For any questions not answered below, please reach out to the maid of honor, Carrie, at (757) 971-2780 or the mother of the bride, Colyn, at (757) 407-2914
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal. The wedding day colors are blue, pink, and green. Feel free to wear those colors or whatever you feel best in!... as long as it's not white

Question

Do I need to bring a gift?

Answer

Gifts are welcome and appreciated, but not required by any means. Please refer to our registry for gifts or to donate to our honeymoon fund. If you buy a gift from the registry, but not off of the Zola Registry site, let us know so we can mark it off and prevent any duplicates!

Question

Is the wedding being held inside or outside?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held inside. The wedding is on, rain or shine!

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

Free parking is available behind the church in the Cathedral's lot. There is also some parking on the residential streets, but look out for tricky signs.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, we cannot accommodate children under the age of 11 at our wedding. We apologize if this causes an inconvenience to anyone.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We ask that only those specifically listed on their formal invitation attend the ceremony and reception.

Question

What food will be served?

Answer

We will be serving pizza from a local Norfolk restaurant. Our options are cheese, pepperoni, or a gluten-free crust with cheese. If you have a dietary intolerance or allergy that none of these options accommodate, please reach out to the bride at (757) 407 - 6837.

Question

Can I skip the ceremony and still come to the reception?

Answer

No. To us, the most important part of our wedding is the sacrament performed during the ceremony in which our relationship is blessed by God. We want all our friends and family to celebrate this special event with us.
