Or take the sky cab, the colorful gondola, also complimentary, that will take you to and from base village to Snowmass mall while enjoying the view of the mountains!

Maroon Bells

CO 81654

If you find yourself out of Snowmass Village, go visit Maroon Bells, the most photographed mountains in North America! Including a reflective lake and two giant snow-striped mountaintops, these peaks are definitely worth checking out. There’s also hiking trails around the lake for even more views of these amazing peaks. Because the natural landmark is so popular, there is restricted access to the area during the summer and fall. Autumn is an especially dreamy time to visit, when the Maroon Bells are cradled by cloud-speckled blue skies and golden aspen groves. The best way to see the Maroon Bells is to take the public bus operated by the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) and visit mid-week when there are fewer crowds. The bus operates between 8am to 5pm from mid-June through early October.

Downtown Aspen

450 South Galena Street, Aspen, CO 81611

Explore historic downtown Aspen! a short 15 min drive from Snowmass. Check out all of Aspens shops, restaurants, and bars . Enjoy food and drinks at Ajax Tavern, located at the base of Aspen Gondola or check out the John Denver Sanctuary all within walking distance of each other in the block to block town. Get there from Snowmass by the free bus service, or call a Taxi at high mountain taxi service.

Silver Queen Gondola

611 East Durant Avenue, Aspen, CO 81611
, (970) 925-1220

Take Aspens Silver Queen Gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain! Get a birds eye view of the entire town of aspen, and enjoy the view of different mountain peaks as far as the eye can see. Enjoy drinks and food at the Sundeck Bar with a large outdoor patio to take in the spectacular views. There’s also walking trails and family fun games and activities to enjoy.
