Is the ceremony/reception indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be outdoors on Snowmass Mountain at the Viceroy Hotel on the Nest Deck. The reception will be on a tented rooftop of the Viewline Hotel in Snowmass.

Preventing Altitude Sickness

Answer

Yes, it’s a real thing! Here’s a few tips to prevent altitude sickness. Remember to drink plenty of water! Keep in mind Alcoholic drinks will hit much harder in high altitude so please be aware of your limits. If needed, there’s portable oxygen cans easily accessible at the market, and liquor stores in Snowmass. Only a two minute complimentary shuttle ride away, to help with any altitude symptoms.

What to expect for weather

Answer

Bringing a jacket or coat is highly advised! September is usually in the high 60s to mid 70s feeling even warmer being at 8,000 elevation and much closer to the sun. Sunscreen is also highly advised! However, the mountains are always unpredictable, so we advise making sure you bring a jacket/coat as the weather could potentially be colder, especially after the sun goes down, as the temperature could get down into the 40s at night.

Break between ceremony and cocktail hour

Answer

Please note that after the ceremony has ended at 2pm, there will be a break before cocktail hour starts at 4:45pm. Guests can use this time to freshen up, explore the mountain, or grab a drink at one of the many bars in base village, or Snowmass mall. Please visit the “things to do” tab for more ideas on how you can fill this time.

Adult Only Wedding

We love your little ones, but to give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children. Ceremony and reception are at TWO DIFFERENT locations

Answer

Although they are only two minutes apart, the ceremony and cocktail hour/reception are located at two different hotels. The Ceremony will be located at the Viceroy Hotel And the cocktail hour/Reception is located at the Viewline hotel. After the ceremony there will be complimentary shuttles to take guests to the Viewline hotel located in the Snowmass Mall. but please note there is a break in between the ceremony and cocktail hour so you will not go straight to cocktail hour. Please visit the “things to do” tab for ideas on how to fill your time during this break.
