The District, Nation's Capitol
The majority of the Smithsonian Museums offer free admission. The Museum of the Bible contains an extensive collection of artifacts and objects pertaining to the Bible.
Maryland, Open For It
There is a Guinness Brewery, first in the U.S. with a tour with beer sampling and light bites in their bar. Locals consider October as the best time to enjoy Maryland blue crabs as fall is when they are the largest and heaviest.
Virginia is for Lovers
Mount Vernon, George Washington's former residence and plantation, offers a museum, tours, and a boat ride. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, an annex of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, houses the space shuttle.
