Our Story
Despite their two very different journeys, Jill and Julio both moved to the Bay Area in 2015. Him for a job in computer engineering and her to be a high school teacher. They both continued to perform because neither of them can escape the cult of musical theatre. Julio sees Jill on stage in 2017 in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and Jill sees Julio in 2018 in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", both equally unaware that they are watching their future partner. Finally, they cross paths in 2019 when they are cast in "American Psycho: The Musical". It is such a romantic show, it’s no wonder that their love story begins here. They were cleaning up the fake blood on stage when their hands touched, and sparks flew. Pure romance. On closing night, Julio asks Jill out and they are inseparable ever since! And, quite frankly, we have Ray of Light Theatre to thank for that.
One beautiful day, Julio proposes during a private hike through Lands End with the Golden Gate shining in the background. Jill cries.
