Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jill Gandrud and Joel Eaton
Whether staying in the Twin Cities is old news or it's your first time here, Jill and Joel have a few places they would love to share with you!
Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

1225 Estabrook Drive, Saint Paul, MN 55103
, (651) 487-8201

Como Zoo isn't just for weddings! Jill and Joel love to visit the beautiful outdoor and indoor gardens, as well as the many critters lounging around. It's also the only place in Minnesota where you can see Jill's favorite animal - the polar bear! Como Zoo has no entry fee, but a donation of $3.00/person is suggested.

East Lake Street

East Lake Street

East Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN

Lake Street - unofficially dubbed Eat Street - has just about every type of cuisine imaginable. Whether you're in the mood for Mediterranean (Jill and Joel LOVE HolyLand), Japanese, Greek, or anything else, you can find it here!

Bde Maka Ska

Bde Maka Ska

3000 Bde Maka Ska Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55408

Minnesota isn't the Land of 10,000 Lakes for nothing. Stroll around Lake Bde Maka Ska or rent a paddleboat for a relaxing afternoon on the largest lake in Minneapolis!

Minnehaha Falls

Minnehaha Falls

4825 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55417

Minnehaha Falls is a beautiful waterfall located just outside the heart of the city. Whether it's the amazing scenery, walking and bike trails, or nearby eats (Sea Salt Eatery), this area is a great way to spend your afternoon! Jill's free parking tip: park on the street next to the nearby Dairy Queen. Joel's free life tip: Stop in at the nearby Dairy Queen.

Milkjam Creamery

Milkjam Creamery

2743 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55408
, (612) 424-4668

In the mood for ice cream? So are we! Jill introduced Joel to MilkJam Creamery on their second date and it has been a favorite ever since! This isn't your typical strawberry and chocolate treat, so be prepared for a variety of fun and delicious flavors and toppings that suit many dietary styles!

Uptown Diner

Uptown Diner

2548 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55405
, (612) 874-0481

Looking for a great breakfast spot? Jill and Joel love the Uptown Diner! Everything is amazing but we HIGHLY recommend a side of waffle fries!

Walker Art Center

Walker Art Center

725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis, MN 55403
, (612) 375-7600

If you don't get a picture of yourself with the Spoon and Cherry at the Walker Sculpture Garden, did you really visit Minneapolis? Admission to the sculpture garden is free and close to some of the other attractions. Bonus piece of information: on their second date, Jill rejected taking a picture with Joel at the Spoon and Cherry!

Mall of America

Mall of America

60 E Broadway, Bloomington, MN 55425

What list of 'Things to Do in Minneapolis' would be complete without the Mall of America? The nations largest shopping center doesn't just have every type of store imaginable but also a movie theatre, theme park, fast food, restaurants, bowling alley, and more!
