Como Zoo isn't just for weddings! Jill and Joel love to visit the beautiful outdoor and indoor gardens, as well as the many critters lounging around. It's also the only place in Minnesota where you can see Jill's favorite animal - the polar bear! Como Zoo has no entry fee, but a donation of $3.00/person is suggested.
Minnehaha Falls is a beautiful waterfall located just outside the heart of the city. Whether it's the amazing scenery, walking and bike trails, or nearby eats (Sea Salt Eatery), this area is a great way to spend your afternoon! Jill's free parking tip: park on the street next to the nearby Dairy Queen. Joel's free life tip: Stop in at the nearby Dairy Queen.
In the mood for ice cream? So are we! Jill introduced Joel to MilkJam Creamery on their second date and it has been a favorite ever since! This isn't your typical strawberry and chocolate treat, so be prepared for a variety of fun and delicious flavors and toppings that suit many dietary styles!
If you don't get a picture of yourself with the Spoon and Cherry at the Walker Sculpture Garden, did you really visit Minneapolis? Admission to the sculpture garden is free and close to some of the other attractions.
