The ceremony will be held in the Enchanted Garden. The parking lot closest to the reception and ceremony is the main lot near the entrance to Como Zoo & Conservatory. The Enchanted Garden is across the street from the front entrance to the zoo, and overlooks a small pond.
Yes! A shuttle will leave the hotel and take guests to the ceremony site at 4:55pm and 5:25pm. We will also have shuttle service that departs the reception site to take guests to the hotel every half hour from 9:00pm until 11:30pm, when the final dance concludes.
Parking at Como Zoo is free and abundant. There is ample street and lot parking near the entrance to the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, the main zoo entrance.
Dress to impress! The dress code for the evening is semi-formal / cocktail attire. Acceptable choices would be cocktail dresses, dress pants, button-down, blouse, blazer, or sport coats.
Jill and Joel want this to be an enjoyable, relaxing evening for everyone. We're asking that your little ones stay back so that you can have a night off and enjoy catching up with friends and family, and maybe meet a new face or two!
If your wedding invitation is addressed to "Your Name and Guest" then yes! If the invite is only addressed to you, then we would ask that only you join. We are blessed with friends and family, but seating is limited. We can't wait to spend the evening with those who are special to us!
Absolutely - but with a twist! We ask that the ceremony be unplugged, so we can all enjoy the moment. Once the ceremony is over and the reception begins, we will have a fun way for all you shutterbugs to get your picture fix!
We're hoping for warm weather and clear skies. However, it's Minnesota, so there's never any guarantee as to what will happen. Late-June evenings can be around 70 degrees. The ceremony will be held outside, but we will have an indoor option should the weather prove uncooperative.
We are planning the wedding far enough out in hopes COVID is more under control and we can safely have a mask-free and un-distanced wedding. We have backup plans in place should we need to remain distanced, and we will make that call early enough so our friends and family can plan accordingly.
