(45 minutes north of the resort). Secluded and scenic, this beautiful crescent of golden sand has a gradual slope to the water, with soft sand lining the bay. The right (northern) side of the beach has the easiest entry with a sandy bottom.

The largest of the island's white sand beaches, Hapuna Beach has consistently been rated on international Top Ten lists of the islands' best beaches. Wide, sandy beach offering restroom s, picnic areas & lifeguards, popular with families & locals.
(15 minutes north of the resort): Good for small surfing but has minimal facilities.
(45-50 minutes north of the resort). Beautiful bay with white sands. Limited parking passes available and is usually full by 7:30AM! Go to the Mauna Kea Resort and request a Mau’umae Beach pass at the guard shack. Only 10 passes are available at one time, so it is best to come in the morning. After being given a pass, follow the road for approximately 400 yards and take the second right turn. Continue across two small wooden bridges until you arrive at the unpaved parking area above the beach. The trail down to Mau ’umae Beach is marked by a sign. If no beach passes are available, Mau’umae can be accessed by parking at Spencer Beach Park and then hiking for a quarter mile down the coastal trail.
