This is where we’ll have our wedding. Our room block closed on July 26, but you can visit the website or call the number above to check availability at Union Bluff. We recommend York Beach Residence Club (below) if there are no rooms available at Union Bluff. Availability is getting tight for October, so we recommend booking something as soon as possible!

This is a recommended hotel that’s just a three-minute walk to Union Bluff. Please call the front desk when booking to secure two nights at this hotel (instead of booking online).

There are several beautiful homes and apartments within walking distance or a short drive to the Short Sands Beach area. Note that there are not very many Lyfts or Ubers in the area, so we recommend being within walking distance of Union Bluff.

Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)

Flying into Logan International Airport in Boston is the easiest and most convenient airport for the majority of domestic flights when your final destination is Southern Maine. Without traffic, Logan is approximately an hour and 15-minute drive to Union Bluff. There is a rental car facility at Logan and a bus to Portsmouth, NH (see details below). Plus, if you’d like to extend your stay in New England and explore Boston, Logan has excellent public transportation options and is only a 10-minute drive from the heart of the city.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT)

The airport in Manchester, NH, is another option a little closer to Union Bluff (approximately a one-hour drive). The airport services American, Avelo, Breeze, Southwest, and United. There is a rental car facility and cab services at the airport.

Portland International Jetport (PWM)

The airport in Portland, ME, is the closest option to Union Bluff (approximately a 45-minute drive). The airport services American, Breeze, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Sun Country, and United. There is a rental car facility and cab services at the airport.

Train

Amtrak

There are several Amtrak trains each day from Boston’s North Station (accessible from Logan via the MBTA or a 15-minute drive) to Wells, ME. The train ride is just under two hours, and the Wells train station is approximately a 25-minute drive to Union Bluff. We recommend calling a cab, as Lyft/Uber has limited availability in that area.

C&J Bus

There is a C&J bus that runs several times a day directly from Logan to Portsmouth, NH. The bus ride is approximately one hour and 30 mins, and the Portsmouth bus station is approximately a 25-minute drive to Union Bluff. We recommend calling a cab from the bus station, as Lyft/Uber has limited availability in that area.

Carpool, Pick-Ups & Drop-Offs

We’d love to help make travel to York, ME, as easy as possible for our guests. We encourage our groups of friends and family to coordinate travel so you can carpool! We will also try to arrange carpools from Logan if our guests are interested. Depending on the time of your arrival and departure, we may also be able to help arrange pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport, bus, or train station. Please indicate if you need help getting to and from York when you RSVP (or feel free to text Jil or Micah).
