Getting Around

Houston has plenty of transportation options to make your visit easy and convenient. You’re welcome to rent a car if you’d like the flexibility, but rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are widely available and easy to use. For those feeling a bit adventurous (or just want a budget-friendly option), the METRO bus and rail systems are also available, though less commonly used by visitors. No matter how you choose to get around, we’re just excited to have you here!

What's the weather like in December?

Houston weather in December is usually mild, with daytime temperatures in the 60s°F (around 18–20°C) and cooler evenings dipping into the 40s°F (7–9°C). Texas weather can be a bit unpredictable, some days are sunny and warm, others can surprise you with a chilly breeze or light rain. We recommend packing a jacket or sweater just in case.
