Dwi Bae, after only knowing me for a few short years, quickly became my person. We formed a friendship during our Master’s Program at Drexel University, bonded on our NYE trip to New York City and our love for adventure. One of my most memorable moments with Dwianitra was on September 18th when I experienced a tragedy on the way to school and she waited for me at the hospital on her birthday with candy and get well gifts in hand. Her selflessness makes our relationship genuine and sincere. She has been there for my successes and my downfalls. Whatever I need she is always in my corner and she always keeps me laughing. I’m elated to have her by my side on my special day.

Dadri was one of my first friends in boarding school at Hampton. Donning our “new girl” status we formed a friendship and I was also welcomed into her family. Our tradition was to spend NYE together, partying with the “incrowd” in Mandeville. Dadri is a constant positive influence in my life, she is determined, passionate and commands the room in whatever atmosphere. Her laugh is infectious and I am constantly in awe of her effortless flair. I can always count on her to be straight with me while also being sensitive to my feelings. She loves hard and fights harder for the ones she holds dear and I’m glad to call her friend. I can’t wait to have her by my side and of course, mash it up on the dance floor.

During the early stages of my relationship with Kaleem, Shannisha was one of the familiar faces I would look forward to seeing at family functions as she made sure to introduce me to every aunt, uncle and cousin in attendance. I have always felt welcomed by her and I am so excited to have her with me on this journey and by my side on wedding day!
