Your presence is enough, however, we have a joint love of travelling and are currently saving for our honeymoon to go to Kenya on Safari. We would love contributions which would be used for the safari, lovely meals, once in a lifetime experiences etc. If you would like to contribute, please follow the link: https://prezola.com/wishlists/10289333/
There will be a coach provided to take guests from the Church to Newby Hall. We ask all guests use the RSVP function to indicate if they will use this. However, getting to the church will be guests' responsibility (train station and buses are frequent). After the service, guests will walk down to Conyngham Hall Car Park to get the bus. Follow the bridesmaids and groomsmen after the church! You have indicated to us when you RSVPed if you would like this. If you change your mind or need to check, please reach out to us.
We will be arranging a coach back to a central Harrogate (Bus Stop opposite Fat Badger/near Crown Roundabout) when the wedding ends at 11.45pm. We are asking anyone who wishes to take advantage of this to contribute £5 per person. Cheaper than a taxi! Please transfer the £5 to Lum's Monzo account ahead of boarding. Please confirm this when you RSVP. Lum's Monzo Details : 04-00-04/25088145 - please use your surname as a reference number. We have also recommended taxi companies in the travel section. We recommend you share rides and book well in advance. The signal is limited at Newby Hall. Taxi companies will be available from Harrogate, Knaresborough, and Ripon. You indicated if you would like this when you RSVPed. If you change your mind please check with the bride and groom asap.
When you RSVP you will be asked to specify any dietary requirements. The wedding will be nut free, of course.
Up to you. There are lots of hotels available in Harrogate and Knaresborough. If you stay in Knaresborough you will be closer to the church. However if you are making a weekend of it, then we would recommend staying in Harrogate. There are lots of Hotels and AirBnBs in the area.
We would like all guests to arrive at 1.30pm to get seated and ensure the videographer has time to set up cameras. The ceremony starts at 2pm and should take around 45 mins.
It is not black tie, but we would love for you to be in nice suits and dresses. Bring the colour! We want you to feel absolutely fabulous. We would prefer no jeans, or trainers. The bridal party is wearing dark green and duck egg blue (light green). Please try and avoid these colours.
Church 1.30-3.15pm. (Please eat before you arrive) Reception Drinks 3.15-5.15pm. Wedding Breakfast and speeches 5.30-7.30pm. Drinks and Digestion 7.30-8.15pm First Dance and Party Time 8.30pm onwards Carriages 12am (walk up to the bus at 11.45pm).
Your RSVP will specify if you can bring a plus one. Anyone else who wants to travel with you for the weekend, but is not coming on Saturday, is more than welcome to join us on the Sunday for the drinks at Cold Bath. Of course kids are welcome on Sunday.
We have decided to have a child-free wedding, unless they are part of the bridal party or under 6 months of age. Please arrange suitable childcare so that you can attend. Children are most welcome to attend the drinks at Cold Bath on Sunday 14th. If you need details of local baby sitters, please ask and we shall ask our family friends for their details.
There is no parking at the church except for bridal party and those with babies, so ideally please arrive by public transport or get dropped by the church. There is a car park at Conyngham Hall for public use where you can park and walk up if needed. We will be providing a coach to Newby Hall after the ceremony at the Conyngham Hall Car Park (52 Bond End, Knaresborough HG5 9AX). We shall assume you are taking this, unless you RSVP that you will be using your car. There is parking at Newby Hall and cars can be held there over night, however, they must be collected on Sunday. Please park on the grass outside the main house. The reception location will be signposted along with parking as you enter Newby Hall grounds.
Yes, please check the schedule, but we would love for everyone to meet us for casual drinks at Cold Bath on Sunday 14th. Kids and plus ones welcome to this before you head off.
We respectfully request that guests do not take photographs during the Church ceremony. We have a professional photographer and videographer to capture the special moment. We would prefer you stayed in the moment and were present in the ceremony. We will gladly share images after the wedding day for you to share. We also ask you to refrain from posting anything on social media of the Bride and Groom before we have had a chance to do so ourselves. Photos of you getting excited in the build up are more than welcome, as we'd love to see this ourselves beforehand.
April in Yorkshire can be temperamental! We are hoping for sunshine, but be prepared for all weather: sun, rain, snow! Newby has a number of their own umbrellas however if it is raining we'd recommend bringing your own just in case!
If you want to wear any of the above and it makes you feel great, you're more than welcome to, but we don't have a preference.
We shall be providing this as you leave the church, as it must be biodegradable and only thrown outside.
You should have done this by now, but if anything changes please let us know urgently! :) Please RSVP by 14th February! However, please do this as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
Please confirm with the bride and groom if they are coming and to which parts. There is a place called 'The Hub' opposite the church which has seating and a kitchen if you need to do a feed, or want some space before/during/after the ceremony. If they fuss a lot during the ceremony, we politely ask that you take them out of church and go to the Hub to settle them down. The ceremony is being recorded. At Newby Hall, there will be change facilities available in the main house in the bedroom upstairs. There will be a changing matt, but please bring your own changing items needed. There is an ensuite toilet in that bedroom should you need to bin, or wash any items. When we move down to the marquee the main house will close. There are toilets at the marquee, but you will need to change them in a cubicle, or sink (sorry!). If they are being collected at any point we would recommend the following times: After Church: 3pm After Drinks Reception: 5.30pm At Cocktail Hour: 7.30pm
