We are so excited to have you share in our big day!

Having met around 16 years old, we instantly connected. Quickly starting to date ahead of Christmas. Alas, young love was not meant to be the first time around, but that shared connection remained. Gifts were exchanged (and kept all those years), but the timing for us just wasn't quite right. After many years, we reconnected in Yorkshire. Jez had been in the Big Smoke followed by travelling, and Lum had been building a successful career in tech. After a lovely few months including trips to Paris, as well as some life changing events, we split, thinking the timing just wasn't quite right - your 20s are a confusing time after all! Not ready to settle down yet, we went our separate ways, but remained in each other's lives as friends. Then came the pandemic. Some accidental covid tier dates. A steak. A 'moment of clarity' at Clem and Jolyon's wedding, and here we are to this day. Our first official date ended in a trip to A+E after an accidental pine nut in a Brio's doughball, and was finished off with a pint of Shipyard in Harrogate Wetherspoons - super romantic. After saying 'I love you' officially at The Angel Inn at Hetton around Christmastime, Lum decided to propose here a year later. Now here we are! Ready to spend the rest of our lives together. Over the years, lots has connected us . . . from a love of rugby and being big foodies to our strong family bonds, great taste in music, a weirdly similar taste in films, and, of course, a love of spending time at Cold Bath.
