here is to forever

Jessica and Jesus met in 2016 during their Master's programs Welcome Week Mixer. They were not in the same cohort, but fate brought them to the same place. While they admit they caught each others eye instantly, neither approached the other right away. As the night went on, Jesus slightly nervous, made his way to Jessica and asked the first question that popped in his head, "Do you watch Game of Thrones?" Luckily, Jessica loved that show - from that simple question on these two have not stopped talking. Jessica returned to her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jesus returned to Richmond, California. They never really thought they would meet again, but fate or destiny or whatever you want to call the pull that brings two together happened again. Being a 49ers fan, Jessica found herself back in California, but in the Bay Area this time. Still communicating, Jesus promised to take Jessica out to explore San Francisco for their first official date. They went to Lands End, Ghirardelli Square, Twin Peaks, and Fisherman's Warf. Stressing both of their parents out, Jessica and Jesus lost track of time and the day quickly turned to night. Their date started at 4pm and they did not return until 2am (sorry to our parents); needless to say, they had a great time! Once again, they were separated by distance. This would be a recurring pattern for these two for 2 1/2 years. During this time they officially began dating, became boyfriend and girlfriend, met each other's families, and adventured together. After countless trips back and forth, Jessica and Jesus really wanted to see their relationship grow together and not apart, so in 2019 Jesus and Jessica moved into their first apartment in Dublin, California. Jessica and Jesus loved their first apartment and the area they lived. They loved going to the farmers markets, hiking, shopping, hitting the wineries/breweries, and hanging with their fur-babies - Cabernet and Alita. Like most millennials, Jessica and Jesus wanted a bigger and better space for their dogs...and themselves of course! They set out on their next adventure and became homeowners. In 2022, Jessica and Jesus bought their first home in Mountain House, California. While the start of their relationship may have been unconventional to some, it gave them a strong foundation. After 8 years of betting on each other, taking risks, growing, and learning; these two were confident and ready for the next big step. On February 11, 2024, Jesus would propose to Jessica! Where did he pop the question? Back to where it officially began, in San Francisco, where they had their first date! Jesus planned the most perfect proposal for Jessica and ensured they were surrounded with love, joy, and support of family and friends. Jessica and Jesus are excited and thrilled to have you all share in the next chapter of their love story. Get ready to raise a glass and dance the night away with this couple on their Wedding Day!
