Legally, Yes! We just got married on November 14, 2025.
As we celebrate this special moment, we kindly ask that guests dress respectfully for the sacred setting of the Church. Since it will be the summer, sundresses are absolutely welcome. Men are encouraged to wear collared shirts and slacks, while women may opt for a nice dress, skirt or blouse. No need for fancy tuxedos or formal gowns!
A Convalidation ceremony is a Catholic ceremony where we became married outside of the Catholic church and are now having our marriage blessed and recognized through the church. This is important in order for the both of us to obtain the sacrament of marriage for the communion and good of our souls as a couple.
We want you to come! You do not have to be a catholic in order to join us at the ceremony. Just follow the lead of the crowd in regards to sitting and standing. You do not have to kneel when everyone else does, you may just stay seated.
As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist is the physical body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ offered up for us and our sins. To receive, you must be an actively practicing Catholic free of mortal sin and having made a good confession within the past year. Our priest will be hearing confessions the day before our wedding at the rehearsal and we encourage all baptized Catholics to attend with us. If you are unable to receive or do not wish to, we encourage you to make an act of spiritual communion or simply sit in respectful silence.
As soon as possible, however, we will take RSVPs up until May 1st, 2026
About 20 minutes! Please plan accordingly
Nope, this won’t be another big wedding with dancing and a full reception. We’ve already had that celebration! This will be a smaller, more intimate gathering with our closest family and friends to celebrate the sacrament of our marriage in the church. We’re really looking forward to sharing this special and meaningful moment with you in a personal, heartfelt way.
Yes! We’ll be having a casual afterparty at Dave & Buster’s in Albany, NY at the Crossgates Mall after the reception. Come for the fun, stay if you like—no pressure!
