Attire = black tie optional OR formal Black tie optional = For women, this generally means a full-length silhouette. For men, a tux isn't required but welcomed. Formal = Formal is slightly less formal than black-tie. So, a tuxedo isn't required, but the event is still formal enough for one to be appropriate. A suit and tie will also do. A floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit are also acceptable.
The ceremony will be on a lawn. There will be areas where you walk between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception where the ground is small gravel. The barn floors are fully brick and easy to walk on. For those wearing heels, I recommend a thicker block heel instead of a stiletto.
Petaluma in June is typically an average temperature of around 76 degrees fahrenheit in the day. Highs sometimes reach 80-83 degrees fahrenheit. Lows reach around 50-60 degrees fahrenheit. Our wedding will be a combination of indoors and outdoors. We recommend dressing fairly light for the day and bringing a wrap, jacket, or sweater for night time. We will have heat lamps in certain areas in the evening.
