It all started when we met back in 2016. We matched on a dating app and exchanged phone numbers. Some small talk ensued and nothing quite came from that at the time. Fate had it that we would cross paths again, yes of all places, at a country bar in San Francisco. Jess noticed a tall, handsome, guy that she knew she recognized from photos. Out with the girls, Jess told her friend that she thought his name was John. So naturally she screamed John across the bar. In true John fashion he did strong whip around and looked in our direction. Yep that was him! The next day, Jess thought to text John and see if that was him. It was John, indeed! So naturally, after some conversation and some pranking by Jess (John fell for it haha) John asked Jess out on a date. Our first date was at a restaurant near the North Beach neighborhood. Dinner turned into drinks and a game of pool. We clearly hit it off and didn't want the night to end! We continued dating and almost 5 years later, we are engaged to be married. We share a love and borderline obsession for our dog, Scout (big animal lovers, especially dogs). She is our sunshine and we enjoy doing life as a little family of 3. Together we enjoy going to the beach with Scout, spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants in SF, traveling to new places, and drinking wine with a good tv show on. We recently have taken up golf together and are also planning to spend time skiing and snowboarding (Jess skis and John boards) this upcoming winter in Lake Tahoe. We feel so lucky to have found each other. Life has definitely handed us some lemons, but we are proud to say that we have grown and loved each other through some of life's hardest challenges and illnesses. We are each other's best friend and feel incredibly lucky to soon become husband and wife. Please note that updates will be made as we get closer to our wedding date.
