Maid of Honor

(Jess’s older sis and maid-of-honor): Where to begin…Jenni has known me my entire life and probably knows me better than anyone (besides the rest of my fam!) so we share a very special bond. Ever since we shared a room and as annoying as I was, I always looked up to her and admired her. She’s wicked smart, empathetic, honest, trustworthy, but most importantly she’s got a heart of gold. She has always been there to listen to me through all the highs and lows with an open non-judgemental ear and goes out of her way to help others, both in her profession and personally. I’m so incredibly grateful and blessed to have her by my side as my maid-of-honor (and in life)!!

(Jess’s sister-in-law- NOT her Mom :) : My newish sista from a different mister (and different Mom)!! Fun fact - she also shares the same name as my mom, which I take as a sign that she was destined to be a part of our fam :). Kathy is selfless, kind and thoughtful - she always has the best personalized gifts and snacks that are perfect and unique. Her laid-back nature makes her easy to talk to and have fun. She and I share a love for a good rom-com, specifically Hallmark Xmas movies. She can also bust a move! Whooooaaaa Nelly!! Watch out if a Nelly song comes on - the girl can dance!! Kathy is an amazing addition to our family and I’m so fortunate to have her as my fellow sister-in-law (and Hallmark buddy)!!

(Jess’s niece and god-daughter): I’ve known Leah ever since she was born and it’s hard to believe she’s now a teenager and taller than me! Leah is a true blue wilderness girl, as she loves nature and is an avid camper/camp counselor. She also has an adventurous spirit and just like her aunt, she loves traveling, meeting new people and shares a mutual fondness of Taylor Swift!! She’s quick witted and quick to dish out what you give, so you’d best be on her good side :) I feel very privileged to be Leah’s god-mother and to witness her growing up to be the thoughtful and unique young lady she is today!!

Alyssa Armato

(Jeremy’s daughter and Jess’s soon-to-be Step-Daughter): Alyssa is a sweet and caring young woman who I’ve gotten the pleasure of getting to know over the past 3 years. She’s an avid reader who loves getting lost in a good book and is quite the history buff! Alyssa is an animal-lover and loves cuddling with Scrappy, the family dog who constantly demands her attention. She’s also a huge Disney and Harry Potter fan, so if you’re traveling to Disney and need any tips she can definitely help! She also has great fashion advice and I often defer to her when we go shopping :) I feel so lucky to have Alyssa in my life and to be a part of her extended family!!

(Jess’s dear friend from Chicago): I met Kelly at our apartment’s pool in Chicago over a decade ago, which is fitting since Kelly loves everything about water and swimming! Ever since then we have been pretty much inseparable and known to get into plenty of “shenanigans” or “twinanigans” together (as my mom often refers to us)!! Kelly is young at heart as she has an adventurous, spontaneous spirit and loves having a good time. We always have a ton of fun, however she also wears her heart on her sleeve and will go to bat for you, so you better not start any tomfoolery with her. She’s a great listener, always there with an open ear and will help get you out of trouble if you need it (like getting kicked out of a club :)). I’m so happy I met Kelly as she is like another sister to me and we’re always on the same page!!

(Jess’s dear friend from College): Lindsey is one of my longest-time friends who I met in college at Madison. She was my assigned sparring partner in my self-defense class and has been one of my best friends ever since! Lindsey is a passionate force to be reckoned with (our self-defense teacher named her “one-gun” for her powerful punches), but don’t let her fool you, she’s a caring, self-less friend who gives equally powerful killer hugs (seriously, the girl can HUG)!! We’ve seen each other through a lot of life changes and although I don’t get to see her as much as I used to, whenever we do see each other it’s like no time has passed. She’s also like a sister to me and I’m so thankful we started out as sparring partners and from there have become life-long friends!!
