You will fly into Jorge Chavez International Airport, which is about 8 miles outside of Lima and can take between 45 minutes to 1 hour in a taxi.

Cab Information
It is best to arrange taxi pickup prior to arrival at the airport. Please contact our recommended English speaking taxi company by downloading WhatsApp on your phone and messaging + 51 954 710 913. Let them know at least a few days before arrival that you would like to arrange airport pickup for the wedding of Jessie and Ravi and they will send someone to pick you up at the airport in Lima and take you to your Airbnb or hotel. There will be a person holding a sign with your name at the arrivals exit at the airport and the cost will be $17 in cash (USD is fine). Once in Lima, Ubers are very cheap and readily available. Please do not take regular street taxis.

For cheaper options, there are plenty of Airbnbs available in Lima for a good price. We recommend looking for stays in Miraflores or in the nearby neighborhood of Barranco.

Travel Tips for US Guests
US citizens will receive a free visa on arrival in the Lima airport. You must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months. There are no vaccination requirements to enter the country. Please see the State Department website below for more information.
