FAQs

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please kindly see the "Accommodations" page of this website for more information.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please kindly reach out to Gideon or Jessie individually or add a note onto your RSVP.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! A shuttle bus will be provided for all guests to and from the ceremony. Guests are also welcome to take their own transportation if preferred. We do kindly remind our guests not to drink and drive. If you would prefer to arrive/depart by taxi, please book in advance with a local taxi driver/company.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We have a number of exciting events over the course of the week. We imagine that many of our guests will arrive a few days prior to the wedding, and will want to simultaneously enjoy a holiday while in Mauritius. We have scheduled optional events for our guests throughout the week to maximize our time with all our family and friends, and to allow our guests to have their own independent time to relax and explore the beautiful country of Mauritius.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Great question! Parking is available for all wedding events. However, a shuttle bus will be provided for our guests from the hotel to the wedding venue.

Question

Can I drive in Mauritius?

Answer

Yes! You can drive in Mauritius if you have a valid driver's license. Parking is convenient and available almost everywhere on the island. Keep in mind that they drive on the left side of the road, and some roads can be rather winding. Remember to use caution when driving and pay attention to your surroundings. Never drink and drive.

Question

Do I have to rent a car and drive in Mauritius?

Answer

We personally loved the convenience of exploring the island by car. Scooters are also available to rent in Mauritius. Though taxis are common, they can be quite expensive. The country also has a public transportation system, however, it can be less reliable and somewhat difficult to navigate.
