Jessie started graduate school in Neuroscience at Central Michigan University in 2014, Eric started graduate school in Neuroscience at Central Michigan University in 2015. Our labs happened to share the same space - Jessie suggested Eric take the desk across from her in lab, and the rest is history!

We had plans to go up north for a family weekend with Eric's family. Eric kept bugging me to leave work so we could get up there early. Once we were on our way, we encountered a blizzard where we couldn't even see the road (in mid-April!). Once we were at the cabin, Eric suggested we trundle out in the 6 inches of snow to go "look at the lake". We were standing on the small beach, and he got down on one knee and popped the question! It was a beautiful setting for the greatest day of my life to date!

We just want to gather with the people we love, enjoy some great food and drinks, and have a fun party! As such, we won't be doing most of the traditional wedding rituals and this won't be a fancy occasion. Supporting small, local businesses is very important to us, SO...everything at our wedding has been planned to be this way. Our venue is a non-profit organization that supports educational programs for kids and maintains hiking trails. Our food is being catered by a local business that uses all local and homemade ingredients. Our dessert is provided by MSU Dairy Store (and made by MSU cows!). Our beer is all from local craft breweries. We hope you will enjoy this day! We are SO excited to see you!
