You can take the Amtrak train from Penn Station in NYC to Hudson, NY (Amtrak Code: Hudson, NY (HUD)) Glen Falls House is about a 30 minute taxi or car ride from Hudson

Extremely convenient (and extremely German) hotel just a five minute walk up the road (literally across the creek and up the street). No additional transportation necessary! We've secured a 20-room hotel block at a discounted rate (2-night minimum stay, 6/26 and 6/27). Please call 518-622-9584 to make reservation and reference our names. You will be asked to provide a deposit of $50. In the event of cancellation, your deposit will be refunded as long as it is within 15 days of your arrival.

Depending on the location, you'll need to do a little bit more planning to have your own transportation, but there are tons of options within 15 minutes and in Hudson.
